Only sippy cup my little one will use. I love the handles on the cup and that they are removable. The cup is really easy to take apart and clean. Cute designs too

My daughter loves this cup. It works so well and with the lid, it doesn’t spill. Will be buying more for sure.

Love these sippy cups to transition, but wish it didn’t have the huge clunky lid on top. I end up just ripping the huge lid off and use it without the lid.

Great first cup for my 8 month old to begin learning how to drink from a cup. I love that the handles make it easy for tiny hands to grasp, and can unscrew and be removed so you can continue to use the cup as your child gets older.
The soft silicone insert is completely removable making it easy to clean and leak proof.
After being thrown to the ground many Times, I appreciate the cap that flips closed and protects the drinking spout from getting dirty. It has detached a few times when baby launches it from his high chair, but can be easily popped back into place. Love this cup!

My favorite sippy cup we own. Doesn’t ever leak, not even a drop, even if left for 24+hours upside down with water in it, not a single drop. Baby loves this cup and holds it by the handles perfectly.

This is a good beginner cup for a baby. My baby does really well with this cup. Shes able to hold the handles and the flow is slow.

Sorry Dr. Brown’s but this has not been my favorite sippy cup thus far. It is leak proof as mentioned and I like the idea of the lid being built into the design but that seems to do nothing but distract my baby from actually using the sippy cup. I do like that it is clear so you can easily determine how much was placed in it and how much the baby has drank and the pop of the blue color of the lid is cute. It seems quite durable as he has tossed it on the floor a few times and it hasn’t broken. My only other complaint is when you try to get the lid to dry whether in the dishwasher or on a drying rack, there is always still water sitting in it somewhere because of how it is made.
Jenna –
It worked ok. The nipple stains easily and the lid snaps on and off

This soft‑spout transition cup worked surprisingly well for my son. At first, he showed zero interest in using a sippy cup, and every attempt felt like a struggle. But once we introduced this one, he adjusted quickly and now actually enjoys drinking from it. The soft silicone spout feels gentle and familiar, which makes the bottle‑to‑cup change a lot smoother for babies who resist anything new.
The handles are sturdy and easy for little hands to grip, and the cup’s contoured shape gives extra stability for early learners. One of the things I appreciate most is the spill‑proof design — once assembled correctly, it really does prevent messes, which is helpful during outings or when babies like to wave their cup around. The lid flips back completely, so it doesn’t bump into the child’s face, and it keeps the spout clean when closed.
The lightweight design makes it easy for a 6‑month‑old to hold, and the simple one‑piece valve makes cleaning much easier than other multi‑part sippy cups. It’s also dishwasher‑safe, which is a huge time‑saver.
Some medium‑rated reviews point out that while the spout is soft and great for beginners, older babies transitioning to more advanced drinking skills may want more flow or a different style of cup. That aligns with my experience — the cup works perfectly for first-stage training, but a straw option in the same line would make the transition even more seamless as the baby grows.
The overall look is cute too, with bright colors and sweet patterns that keep little ones interested.
What I liked
• Soft silicone spout makes transitioning easier
• Sturdy handles perfect for little hands
• Spill‑proof and mess‑free when assembled properly
• Lightweight and easy for babies to hold
• Simple one‑piece valve — very easy to clean
• Lid flips back fully and protects the spout
What could be better
• Would love a compatible straw option for later stages
• Flow may feel slow for older or more advanced drinkers
• A slightly larger size option could be useful
Georgina Martinez –
Nice water bottle with spout that is easy to drink out of for my 10 month old. But the design of the top does seem to push on his nose quite a bit. Like that it holds a decent amount and has nice handles. No leaks!

I have used Dr. Brown’s sippy cups for all of my kids over the past 12 years and we have loved them. Baby #6, I wanted some again. I noticed that they have changed the design quite a bit, but the cup still delivers. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
– This cup DOES NOT LEAK. This is the main selling point. It just doesn’t leak. WIN.
– The size is compact. This is something I love about it. Kids who need a sippy don’t drink that much at a time, so bigger sizes are redundant IMO. This one is perfect.
– It’s extremely easy to clean. It comes apart into only four parts: the cup, the screw-on cap w/handles, the nipple/gasket, and a lid.
– The lid is an updated design from what I remember; instead of a free-flowing cap, it has a hinged flip-top lid, which can be easily removed. Good update.
– It’s ergonomic and has a soft spout. My babies could always pick these up easily and figure them out quickly, and they really enjoy the soft tip over a hard plastic one (which gets ruined even with mild chewing – this doesn’t). Again, size matters here – smaller and more compact is easier for a baby to manage.
– It’s a cost-effective sippy at only $6, and the price hasn’t really changed over the years. Win.
Cons:
– The cup only comes in two colors: blue and pink. As a nonbinary person who is also sick of the “norm,” I rather dislike baby and kid products that only come in blue and pink. I would like to see more purple and green, personally. (Or hey, go crazy and do multi-colored.)
– The handles on the cup are too long/tapered, and they hit my fingers when I’m twisting the cap on, unless I grasp the very bottom of the cup with the tips of my fingers. It’s awkward, I hate it, and I feel like I’m going to drop it. It would be fine if I only used it once in a while, but this is something I’m going to be using every day, multiple times per day, probably for the next two years or so.
This last bit is the reason I came to write this review, and a reason I knocked a star off. Hopefully Dr. Brown’s will change the design back to something that makes more sense.
Otherwise, GREAT CUP! The bad handle design is easily overlooked because of all its other good qualities.
TheresaLei –
My little keeps refusing to drink out many sippy cups. We finally found one she loves! She has been drinking Dr. Brown bottles since day one and she still chooses Dr. Brown. This cup is not user friendly with young babies. I purchased it for my 6 month old to independently learn to use sippy cups, since it has the holding handles and is spill proof. I liked that it had the measuring marks on the side, many other brands don’t have this feature. However, the bottle cap doesn’t lock in place. Whenever my baby tried to take sips, the cap would flop down in his face or he wouldn’t be able to access the spout because the cap was in the way. This defeated the purpose of buying the bottle for his independent learning. I would have to meddle in the process to hold the cap back in place.

Works great, not too hard to get the water out but enough that it doesn’t come pouring out. Love that it comes with a lid for on the go, although it sometimes gets in the way of my one year old figuring out how to drink. It’s nice that I can take the lid fully off when she’s using it

Good cup. Good quality. Sturdy. I like that it still works if child holds it upside down, because of the “floating” straw.

We’ve had this sippy cup for over a year now and it’s still held up! My kids are now 2 and 4 and both have loved it. I’ve cycled through a lot of different cups and bottles and almost all end up in the trash because they break. This is extremely leak proof, and my son at a young age had an easy time using it. My kids seem to love the look of it and the little character because they both always want it. 10/10!

Without a doubt best little transition sippy cup from bottles!
It’s easy to clean! Easy to take apart for the cleaning process!
You can be the “nipple” part in a sterilizer which is helpful for deep cleaning!
My toddler holds it without any issues !
No leak problems !
And the flow is great too ! Not too strong for their baby mouths !

Dr. Brown’s Soft Spout Transition Cup offers a thoughtful design for babies transitioning from bottles to cups. It definitely encourages independent drinking skills while remaining gentle on the gums. My daughter absolutely loves it!

Love this cup! We brought two types of sippy cups and baby loves this cup over the other style. Easy to hold and easy for him to drink from. Love that its leak proof. Only annoying thing is sometimes when he’s drinking from it the top falls down on his face, which distracts him and then he goes from drinking to trying to bite the top. Lol

Works great, not too hard to get the water out but enough that it doesn’t come pouring out. Love that it comes with a lid for on the go, although it sometimes gets in the way of my one year old figuring out how to drink. It’s nice that I can take the lid fully off when she’s using it

Spill proof as described. Easy to hold and the mouthpiece is an easy transition from bottle to cup. My issue is that this cup has a lid that keep closing and baby can’t reopen it. While it’s good for sanitary reasons – it’s a pain to have to constantly reopen for the toddler.
The product is simple to use, easy to hand carry. Its convinient ‘cos rechargeable so, i dont need to run to the stores when batteries run out. –

My favorite sippy cup we own. Doesn’t ever leak, not even a drop, even if left for 24+hours upside down with water in it, not a single drop. Baby loves this cup and holds it by the handles perfectly.

We have tried multiple sippy cups for our son and this is by far our, and his, favorite. Absolutely love that it has a folding cover. It’s easy for him to hold and comes apart really easily to clean as well.

Buscaba un biberón de transición, use uno antes de otra marca y funcionó muy bien, pero este el chupón es muy duro y les cuesta trabajo

I love that it has the oz on the side to know how much water my baby is getting! Easy grips for baby to hold and just as simple as sucking a bottle. My only flaw and I wouldn’t call it a flaw, is that the lid to the cup doesn’t come off so it kind of hits baby in the face while trying to get the last sips.

Love the handles on this sippy and the fact that it isn’t a straw. It’s helping our baby learn how to use a cup without a straw but without leaking everywhere. It’s big for what he needs right now but he can grow into it. I will say that while cleaning is easy, sometimes getting the sippy insert back into the top can be hard. Also, for now the lid is in the way so we removed it. There may be a few tiny drips that come out without the lid but every time our baby turns the cup up (which you have to) the lid would smack him in the face and he’d give up. So we just popped it off for now and it’s now his favorite. Once he’s older and learns how to drink more easily we can put it back on.

My grandson is at that stage where he tries to shake drops out of his bottles but this one won’t drip at all-and it’s sturdy enough that getting thrown on the tile floor almost daily hasn’t fazed it!!

This was a great first sippy cup for our baby. We actually purchased several more after our initial purchase. The lid is handy, especially for traveling. It is also easily removable, which came in handy as it would hit our baby in the face as he was drinking. I like that it can be put in the dishwasher, however, need to be sure to disassemble all parts, as liquid was getting trapped in the seal.

I recently introduced my little one to Dr. Brown’s Transition Sippy Cup with Soft Spout, and it has proven to be a game-changer in the journey from bottle to cup. The soft spout, leak-resistant technology, and baby-friendly features make it a standout choice for parents seeking a reliable and comfortable sippy cup. Highly recommended for a smooth and mess-free sipping experience for little ones.
