So I’m not usually a review writer BUT I kept thinking about the other moms out there that are looking to try to fit 3 car seats in a small backseat. These car seats are perfect, they are truly slim, have two cupholders, are comfy, and I fit 2 of these plus an infant car seat in the backseat of my Nissan Sentra and they fit perfectly, not too tight, and the doors close with ease. I tried so many different car seats to try to avoid buying new ones but nothing worked. These are worth it.

I purchased the Crosstown Slim All-in-One while looking for a car seat for plane travel, as our daily seats weigh 30lbs and are not something you want to be negotiating with during a rushed boarding/deboarding process with cranky passengers and flight attendants giving you death stares. I was looking for simple installation, safe, and lightweight (this is only 12lbs!). This seat is all of those things, so for that, I’m happy. As a bonus, this seat will hopefully be the only travel seat we need for several years!

I saw a few reviews regarding difficulty getting it installed snugly into a car, particularly rear facing. I installed rear facing and did not experience this problem on both fabric and leather seats. I did, however, pull the seat fabric back to expose the internal view of the belt path. That gives you a better angle from which to pull the belt taught. I also pressed down on the car seat to push it into the seat below, as I tightened the seat belt. Pretty sure this is all standard practice though, installing any car seat. Safe in the Seat (YouTube) has videos that show this being done.

This car seat was also a breeze to get through the airport. I attached it to a standard hand truck and rolled it around with no trouble whatsoever (even with kid in tow). It’s so light that just carrying it is also no big deal. Getting the seat installed on the plane was a bit complicated though. Unless you’re flying first class, there isn’t enough legroom for the car seat to be rear facing. We flew Alaska, which claims to have 31” legroom. The seat may provide 31” at the knee level, but not chest level, where the car seat sits. Neither rear-facing level line worked for us, and the forward facing height/weight requirements (min 30lbs and 34.4”) are too high for my 2.5 yo children, so we didn’t even have the option of forward facing. I measured the seat after our trip, and it appears to me that you need at least 30” of space to install the car seat rear facing. Our next trip is coming up and we opted for the Cares harness this time, since the kids don’t fit the forward facing requirements. We’ll still travel with these seats for the car though.

Lastly, the padding is quite thin. Both kids were terribly uncomfortable in their seats on our 5.5 hour flight. I was also disappointed to see that there is no side impact foam built into this seat. The headrest is entirely plastic, but the car seat does specify side impact protection, and I do understand that I chose an economical seat. I’m not sure how this compares to others in its class, but I would like to see more for an everyday seat. As a travel seat, I guess this will suffice.

Removing and washing the cover/pads is a breeze. Overall, reasonably happy with this purchase.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. Not suitable for rear facing what so ever. The anchor that you attach to the seats on the car doesn’t even fasten/tighten all the way. The seat rocks side to side and back to back. There is no way to get the seat to lean back when it’s in the rear facing way.

In the photo (I know it’s hard to tell) but the seat has a bar to pop out to “stabilize” the seat. Both of my children (a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 month old) were screaming on the car ride due to how far forward they were leaning in the rear facing position. Only for 2 uses out the car seats (1 from the airport to my in-laws and 1 trip seeing friends).

We ended up going to target to grab two more car seats. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND IF YOU NEED THE IN REAR FACING!!!!

First time car seat owner. I bought it so I can pick up my little niece from daycare. Setup was easy, seemingly comfortable, good quality, and easy to adjust for the baby’s growth. My sister (her mother) has an expensive car seat which is not nearly as easy to adjust for growth. This one should be good for infants up through little kids. Baby loves the cupholders. Great deal!

Great carseat. Has held up well. Easy to clean.

I do love this seat for my daughter. What makes this 4 stars?

Mostly made of all plastic, and not as heavy duty as some seats. But definitely quality enough that I feel comfortable enough using for my daughter. Also lightweight which we have found is great for traveling!
