  1. Sil

My wife is very mindful of what goes into many of the cosmetics and creams you see on the shelves.
She’s a big fan of Tropics but after a little convincing, she agreed to try this. MUCH cheaper than Tropics but equally as good and as pure.
    Would recommend.

  2. Joyce

    It’s a nice product, a bit pricey

  3. Zoola

    Bad smell ☹️💔

  4. Sil

    Antiestrias maravilloso y baratísimo. Lo
Mejor es que el 99% de sus ingredientes son naturales. Me funciono durante el embarazo, ni una sola estría.

I absolutely loved this cream for my bump while pregnant! It made my skin so soft and helped prevent stretch marks! I’m a huge Burt’s Bees fan because they’re ingredients are so much cleaner than other brands. I have very sensitive skin and had no reaction to this product. This tub lasted a long time and I applied A LOT of cream to my belly. I have recommended this to all of my pregnant friends and they have all loved it.

  6. Kara

  7. Jocelyn A Alcocer

I love this so much a little bit goes a long way! I have not had any stretch marks on my belly and I am 7 months pregnant. 🤰🏻 it feels so good even the next day & it smells good!

  8. StinkyTofu

My mom has stretch marks from two pregnancies. She did not apply anything to her skin during her pregnancy and endured terrible itching from the skin stretching. She was 5 feet tall, 95lbs, and gave birth to a 6 lb and 8.5lb babies. She was not extremely active.

I’m 5’2″ and gave birth to a 6 lb 12 oz baby. Prepregnancy I weighed 115 lbs. By 37th week of pregnancy, I weighed 140 lbs. Prior and throughout most of my pregnancy, I did core exercises. I did not get stretch marks.
I started using this my 10th week of pregnancy and continued to apply it once every night after shower until I gave birth my 37th week. I applied to my entire abdomen, hips, and legs. I also ate a lot of collagen rich foods and kale. I only went through 3 tubs of this stuff.

Whether this belly butter cream saved me from stretch marks, I really can’t say. According to every medical professional and book I have looked up, stretch marks are NOT preventable as it is dependent on genetics. But they aren’t clear whether it is a recessive trait or if it skips…

What I do know is I used this, and my skin has never been smoother. It helped prevent itchiness of the stretched skin during my pregnancy. Even an itchy dry patch that had plagued my leg for 3 years disappeared a few months after using it. And this itchy patch had been resistant to even prescription steroid cream (I have adult eczema), and was further irritated by vaseline, and other moisturizers. I was scratching my leg in bed every night for three years. In fact, not long into my pregnancy, the itchy patch had appeared to spread. This belly butter completely eliminated the patch. My sister commented on how smooth my legs and arms look and I told her I was using the belly butter on my limbs as well.

As for the smell- it smells like oil. I think there are some people that commented how it stank. Well- yeah- if you are used to perfumed creams, than I guess this is startling in its lack of pleasing fragrances. Opened a bottle of cooking oil and take a whiff: this is what the Mama Bee Belly Butter smells closest to. Some medical professionals advocate a perfume free pregnancy- this product would be perfect for those seeking that route. I don’t mind the smell at all- it doesn’t linger on the skin, only if you are shoving your nose into the tub.

I used this my entire pregnancy from once I started showing to a couple weeks after birth. I’m 5 months post partum and have no stretch marks! This cream isn’t super greasy either and doesn’t have any type of bad smell. This is good stuff!!

  15. StinkyTofu

    It’s a nice product, a bit pricey

I cannot recommend this product enough. I started using it once a day early second trimester. It is a thick, rich cream so it goes a long way. A container lasted me a month each time. Third trimester I rarely encountered any itchiness on my belly. If I did, this was soothing and stopped it almost immediately. I did not get any stretch marks which was impressive to me. Yes, there is always a genetic component but family members did experience stretch marks and I did not. I largely attribute that to regular use of this belly butter. Towards the end of third trimester I layered Palmers cocoa butter over this to lock in the moisture. Added tip; be sure to apply this to your hips, thighs, and chest. These areas all are prone to stretch marks during pregnancy too!

Love it! Has a slightly thick texture and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. It has a very mild fragrance but nothing overpowering.

I used this every single day of my pregnancy and it kept my belly moisturized! It was my favorite thing to use and every time I put it on I always felt my babies kicking.

I’ve used this for both of my pregnancies. I gained quit a bit of pounds both pregnancies and had NO STRETCH marks, somehow, someway. The first pregnancy I was gifted this product. The second pregnancy, I said I had to have this and ordered from Babyz Corner. I say its from this product!!! I love the smell and the way it left my skin feeling 🙂

  27. StinkyTofu

love this, we use this a lot and it is so so soft, really love this product. Product comes in a nice packaging. Super moisturizing and very low on the scent.

Like most of the reviews I read before buying, they do seem to have a huge chunk/air bubble of product missing. This picture was taken upon first opening the jar before any usage.
However, I started using it on March 5th at 4 months pregnant and apply 2 times a day, in the morning and before bed, especially right out of the shower. I am currently 5 months pregnant and haven’t gotten any stretch marks on my belly or hips. I do have a noticeable amount of stretch marks on my boobs though. But that could be because I had already grown 2 bra sizes in my first trimester before I started using this. I’m hoping it will prevent anything further & minimize what’s already there. I think it is working pretty good but can’t be 100% sure if it’s the product because I’ve only been using it for 1 month so far and my bump isn’t that big yet. Will continue using and leave an update later on throughout the pregnancy. I bought a 3 pack and am about to finish my first jar so one jar lasts about a month when applied 2x a day.
The smell is somewhat unpleasant but it is an unscented product so that’s understandable.
It does leave my hands feeling oily after I apply but once the product absorbs/drys my skin feels soft. I only use this on my boobs, belly & hips/upper thighs in hopes of preventing stretch marks. Can feel the moisture on my skin for hours after using. It almost feels like the product is sitting on top of my skin rather than absorbing tbh but I’m not sure. When I take a shower I can feel the product coming off my skin like a slimy feeling.. so this does make me skeptical if it’s actually absorbing into my skin or maybe I apply too much/don’t rub it in good enough? I’ve been trying to take a few minutes to rub it in and don’t use a lot tbh bc a little goes a long way but this always happens when I get in the shower at the end of the day..
(I’ve been using Nivea Soft for my face, arms & legs and it works wonders for leaving my skin super soft and moisturized, I love it! 10/10.)
As for the burts bees mama belly butter I chose this product because of the cocoa, Shea & vitamin E ingredients & its lack of parabens etc. It also had some great reviews but I can’t say that I’m in love yet but I will keep using to see if it actually helps later in the pregnancy once my bump gets bigger. If it does prevent stretch marks from coming then I will recommend and would be 100% worth it despite the few flaws I’ve found in it so far. For now I’d rate it a 7-8/10.
    I hope this helps!

  29. Chelsea

I love this moisturizer. It’s thick but not heavy. It smells good. It was perfect for my pregnant belly that got dry and itchy. I use it all over my body to stay moisturized.

  30. Simon

As someone who wanted a natural, non-greasy moisturizer during pregnancy, I decided to try Burt’s Bees Mama Belly Butter, and I’m so glad I did!

    First Impressions

Right off the bat, I loved that it’s fragrance-free. A lot of belly creams have strong scents that can be overwhelming, especially with pregnancy nausea, but this one is super mild. The texture is thick but not greasy, and it absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky.

    Moisture & Comfort

I started using this around my second trimester when my belly began stretching more, and it kept my skin feeling soft and hydrated all day. The cocoa, shea, and jojoba butters feel luxurious and really help with that tight, itchy feeling as the skin stretches.

    Stretch Mark Prevention?

While no cream can guarantee you won’t get stretch marks (a lot of that comes down to genetics), I do feel like this helped keep my skin elastic and moisturized, which can definitely reduce their severity. So far, I haven’t noticed any new ones!

The Mama Belly Butter emerges as a fantastic skincare solution for pregnancy, offering considerable benefits yet falling slightly short in one area. Let’s delve into it:

🧴 Texture & Absorption: The texture is delightful, and the butter absorbs well into the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and supple.

🌿 Natural Ingredients: The 99% natural ingredient composition, including Shea Butter and Vitamin E, provides reassurance for expectant mothers. It’s comforting to know that you’re nourishing your skin with such wholesome ingredients.

🤰 Effectiveness: This cream works wonders on pregnancy-stretched skin, assisting in both prevention and treatment of stretch marks.

💖 Comfort: The butter soothes and moisturizes, offering respite from the uncomfortable stretching sensation common during pregnancy.

Here’s where there’s a slight room for improvement:

👃 Scent: While not overly strong, the scent might not appeal to all, especially those experiencing heightened sensitivity to smells during pregnancy.

In conclusion, Mama Belly Butter earns a deserving 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me. Despite a minor caveat regarding the scent, it truly delivers as a supportive skincare companion during pregnancy.

Thank you for reading this review. Wishing all expectant moms out there a smooth and comfortable pregnancy journey! 🤰💖🌸

Very hydrating and doesn’t smell. It works great and I really enjoy it. Easy to apply. Not gross or oily after, which is nice. I use this with a coconut oil just for the smell of coconut.

I’ve been using this exclusively on my belly, arms, and legs since getting pregnant. I’m due next week and have zero stretch marks! Love the smell and it last me about a month – so I’ve purchased a number of these but so worth it!

Stretch Mark Prevention: The nourishing formula of the belly butter helps to improve the elasticity of the skin, reducing the likelihood of developing stretch marks. Regular application can help maintain the skin’s natural elasticity. Easy Application: The butter has a smooth and creamy texture, making it easy to spread and massage onto the skin. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue, allowing for convenient and fuss-free application.

Pleasant Scent: The belly butter has a great scent, adding a touch of relaxation and indulgence to your skincare routine. The pleasant aroma can help uplift your mood and provide a moment of self-care during pregnancy.

Natural Ingredients: Burts Bees Mama Belly Butter is made with natural ingredients, including cocoa, shea butter, and vitamin E. This ensures that you are using a product that is gentle on the skin and free from harsh chemicals.

  43. Jessica Mary

I used this throughout my pregnancy and have no stretch marks. It does not have a strong fragrance, it’s very creamy and moisturizing.

  44. Gabby Racanelli

No real smell to it but I do like the consistency of the lotion. Easily blends into the skin and quickly. Non greasy which I like. I’ll continue to use and hope it helps!

  45. Oriana

Review by subhash wife: I have been using it for months now. It’s almost empty.. really moisturising.. remains throughout the day and prevents itchiness.. did not find any reduction in my scars so can’t comment on that.. but I loved the product for the way my stretched abdominal skin feels. Will be buying more.

  46. CabraAnn

Belly butter is the best thing you can get for yourself. It relieves all the pregnancy itchy, stretching, dry skin but also is great for after baby arrives. Leaves skin smooth and nourished. A little absorption time is needed since it is thick but it’s worth the wait.

  47. Ashleigh Armstrong

The richness of this cream is super nice; it leaves my belly feeling soft. At 30 weeks pregnant, I believe the absence of stretch marks can be attributed to this cream. I plan to continue using it even after I give birth.

  48. Gabriel A Ruiz

I bought this (1 jar) when I was 16-17 weeks when I first noticed my baby bump. I’m 39 weeks now and I still have enough product to last a few more weeks. I only put it on my belly though.
At 39 weeks, no stretch marks.
I like the smell, but my husband doesn’t care for the smell.
    Likely recommend!
