Yes, I spilled my fist batch. No, I didn’t cry because this was the easiest milk I’ve ever collected. In just my first night using it I collected roughly 8oz -not including what I spilled! I exclusively breast feed and used this on just one breast while my baby feeds on the other. Y’all… this is more than I capture in my once daily pumping session and I just collected it passively while feeding my babe!It is very easy to use just give it a slight squeeze and set. It has such good suction I haven’t needed a bra to hold it AS LONG AS I am stationary while using it. It stays on well even through my baby’s kicks. It’s base isn’t large or sturdy so have the lid ready and dont trust it to stay upright. I don’t really trust the lid/plug either so I try to pour it into a storage container ASAP.If I could change one thing I would go back in time and have this on my registry and ready for the day my milk came in. I just bought it at 2 months postpartum and it is still life changing even at this stage. No more engorged nights. No more long pumping sessions. Now I can feed my baby, collect milk for later, and have my hands free to drink my iced coffee all AT THE SAME TIME.

These are comfy but effective. Tried the Haaka and wanted to cry but I don’t really notice these and you can just slot them into your bra, wish I’d bought them sooner

This is an extremely comfortable passive milk collector, and in the past few days I have forgotten I was wearing it several times
Only reason to take off a star is it will fall off if you lean over too much, and sometimes takes a few tries to get it to stay sealed
I use it while breastfeeding and pumping, and am an overproducer, and it gets colostrum and mature milk out easily, and can be worn while breastfeeding to catch letdown.
This fits perfectly, and my flange size is 28mm, which can be uncomfortable with other pumps and collectors running smaller typically.
It is very easy to pour milk from and clean, and dries quickly.
I have only had my baby kick it off once so far, and he got two hard kicks in before it came off, so it does have some stay on its own.

  6. Audrey

I wanted a passive collection cup that was wearable and wouldn’t fall off and spill, this one is super comfortable and sits right in your bra. If you wanted to add suction it does a good job of that as well. Personally ive tried the traditional Hakkaa, and medelas version with the lanyard. Both are knocked off easily and are painful. they actually made my nipple and areola turn purple and bruise. Now that I have an infant and a toddler there’s no way I could use that kind. You can use this on the opposite breast to just sit and collect your letdown instead of letting it waste in a breastpad, you can build a freezer stash or give that milk to your baby. you can wear them at night to catch leaks and keep your bed clean, though i wouldnt keep that milk if you do wear them at night unless youre getting up every couple of hours. you can add suction and use it like a wearable pump or just wear them around the house. Its super comfortable I forget its there. Fairly easy to clean and its flat on the bottom so it can stand up, its also easy to pour out of.

I love this product!! I haven’t tried similar products such as the Hakka to compare but I can’t rate the boon trove more highly. It suctions easily and stays in place – despite me having a very wriggly baby who likes to kick and wriggle he hasn’t managed to knock it off yet! I also get such a good collection from it – usually around 30-40ml for a good feed. Really easy to clean. I have recommended to a few friends!

  11. Babyz Corner Customer

These are amazing! I exclusively pump and struggled to find something that I could comfortably wear hands free without the bulky equipment. Also hated having to go isolate in a room by myself hooked up to an electric pump. I have a Haakaa pump too but these are by far the best option. They provide gentle suction and fit nicely in a nursing bra. They stay in place and compress without milk spillage. With my Haakaa, I would only get about 1-1.5 oz max. With these, I got 2 oz total after 20 min. I love that they come with plugs as well in case you knock them over. Great buy for lactating mamas!

These were my absolute favorite milk collectors! I wound up with 3 so I could keep them on rotation and never have to worry about it being dirty when I was ready to nurse my daughter. And because it provides negative pressure it wasn’t just passively collecting milk, it was actually acting as a suction device and it really helped me increase my milk supply! Because of this I had about 200 oz of milk stored when I went back to work, and that was without using any electric pump (though I did switch to that once back to work). This is something I bring to every baby shower for a new mom that wants to nurse now.

  18. Audrey

I don’t often write reviews, especially when I’m in the midst of caring for a newborn baby, but I had to give these a review in case it helps some other postpartum mom because these things are AMAZING. I’m on my second baby (wish I’d known about these with my first!) which means my milk came in super strong this time around. I’m talking engorgement, leaking everywhere, soaking through multiple breast pads a night/feed. I got so exhausted by the constant mess that I considered using a Haakaa while feeding, but it just felt like a hassle to hold it the whole time when I’d rather be texting or reading on my phone.

Then I stumbled on these things and they have completely transformed my nursing experience. First, it’s cut so far down on the mess that I only change my reusable bra inserts once a day, and they’re hardly dirty! Even more exciting is that I’ve managed to stock up, in less than a month, 30+ oz of freezer supply WITHOUT PUMPING. This means we’ve been able to do some easy bottle training without having to skip feeds or pump, I have a healthy freezer stash (which is just more comfortable), and every feed session has this bonus “extra” feeling.

Yes, it’s slightly more of a hassle than just feeding on demand (getting the collector, dealing with the milk, and then rinsing or washing the collector, depending on how comfortable you are with the freezer hack). But when I think about how much laundry I’m not doing, plus the constant smell of sour milk, I couldn’t be happier. I even bought a tiny little make-up fridge for our bedroom so I can use these during the overnight feeds and store the milk.

I could not recommend these more highly. If you’re a breastfeeding mom, especially if you have any issues with leaking/letdown during feeds, give these a try. And do yourself a favor and buy the two pack so one is always handy!

Update: these worked amazingly for me for the first couple months, but I stopped using them around 8 weeks and now that my milk supply has regulated, they hardly catch any milk, no matter how engorged I am or how much suction I use. It’s a great way to build up a freezer stash and prevent a ton of milk from getting wasted in those early weeks, but they’re not a substitute for a pump if you need long term milk collection. At least not for my body.Original review: I have a couple Haakaas that I tried using my first few weeks breastfeeding, but my baby sometimes kicked them off and it was stressful worrying about spilling milk everywhere. I also had a hard time getting them to suction on securely without the suction becoming painful. I stopped using them, but then I was soaking through a breast pad with every feeding and wasting a ton of milk.I read reviews for a lot of products similar to this one, but the Boom seemed to have the best design and the best reviews so I decided to give them a shot. Funny enough, my lactation consultant recommended them to me out of the blue the day after I ordered them. These have completely changed my breastfeeding experience! I haven’t needed to use my electric pump a single time since I started using the Boons. If I use them every time I nurse on the opposite breast, I collect about two whole bottles of extra milk in 24 hours. This is more than enough to let my husband take a couple feedings with the bottle and to create a freezer stash. Now my biggest problem is figuring out what to do with all the extra milk!Another great use is preventing engorgement. If my baby isn’t hungry and my breasts are full, I can put these on and get a couple ounces on each side, just enough to relieve the pressure without draining my breasts completely. That way I still have plenty of milk whenever baby is ready to nurse. They stay on in my nursing bras really well. I need to increase the suction periodically as they fill with milk, but it’s so easy to do just by pushing on the front through my bra. They are comfortable and convenient enough that I forget I’m wearing them. Just be careful not to spill then if you sit them down.

Great at maintaining suction and getting everything out with great capacity and easy to empty without spilling, but wear it with a very thick bra and hoodie combined, there are round bits at the top that made it look like my nipples were very hard and about an inch in diameter. Moderately embarrassing lol.

  27. mauricio lopez

Exactly as expected. Works with both suction and without depending on the requirement which is a major bonus.
    Great product for the price.

Life changer! Im a FTM and hated pumping outside of my home with the battery pumps… always so loud and just annoying. I came across these suction pumps and it’s a game changer! Not only does it help when you’re feeling engorged out and about but it’s so discrete and the size is perfect to carry in your purse. I recommend all BF moms the get these!

I wish I had this from the start. I decided to buy this after the well-known differently shaped one (which sucks half my boob into it, sometimes painfully) was kicked off by my nursing baby yet again… and I seriously love it. Gentle suction, fits in my bra, and I regularly get 1.5-2oz from my slacker side and 3+ from the other by doing basically nothing. For longer feeds I do have to dump it into something else mid-feed or it’s too full, but it’s easy to put back on if that’s what I want to do.No squeezing/folding/yadda yadda. Just place over your nipple, press down, and off you go. Thankful for the included plug. Easy to use, pour from, and rinse out. I’ll recommend this to any new mom I know who plans to BF.

These work beautifully!I am a mom of 4 under 5 and when I can’t get the my pump machine and the ladies are in pain uncomfortable or in the middle of the 100 things I’m trying to get done. I put them on and they milk me while I’m running around. Suction is great I think I could do a cartwheel and not a drop would spill, i have even put them on while resting in bed on my side and stomach still no leaks and still worked. A little uncomfortable the first few uses but was probably due to my breast getting use to the constant suction instead of the rhythmic suction from the machine pump. I feel like my supply has stop declining due to me not getting in the pumps i needed to maitain and am not suffering from painfully full breast anymore. 10 out of 10 would recommend to any momma and wished I had found and tryed them sooner.

I really enjoy this!! So much more convenient than my hakah, I love that it can fit in my bra, the first evening I used it I saved about 8oz of milk that would have just been waisted into my breast pad. It’s amazing!! It’s comfortable, easy to clean and pour. Very happy with my purchase!!

I have several different milk collectors, and this is the best one! My goal is to collect leaking milk hands-free from the other side while breastfeeding my baby.

Haakaa Original: It’s too long and hits the baby’s head, making it impossible to use.

Haakaa Ladybug: It has very weak suction, and most of the time, I need to hold it. If you’re wearing a nursing bra, this won’t be a problem. However, I prefer lying down and being topless during feeding.

This collector provides enough suction to stay secure without causing pain. It collects every drop, stands by itself, and is easy to pour out by following the arrow.

Cons: Because it’s one piece, it requires more care to wash and dry. I use clean cloths and 70% ethanol to sterilize and dry it. The Ladybug has the same problem and is even harder to clean.

  42. Chloe Evenstad

Absolute favorite thing! I use it every time I breastfeed to collect milk from the other breast. I’ve tried to haaka and liked it but it was too big and bulky this is so much better it goes right into my bra and collects milk as I breast-feed from the other side

Yes, I spilled my fist batch. No, I didn’t cry because this was the easiest milk I’ve ever collected. In just my first night using it I collected roughly 8oz -not including what I spilled!

This is an extremely comfortable passive milk collector, and in the past few days I have forgotten I was wearing it several timesOnly reason to take off a star is it will fall off if you lean over too much, and sometimes takes a few tries to get it to stay sealedI use it while breastfeeding and pumping, and am an overproducer, and it gets colostrum and mature milk out easily, and can be worn while breastfeeding to catch letdown. This fits perfectly, and my flange size is 28mm, which can be uncomfortable with other pumps and collectors running smaller typically. It is very easy to pour milk from and clean, and dries quickly.I have only had my baby kick it off once so far, and he got two hard kicks in before it came off, so it does have some stay on its own.

I ordered this product at 2 months post-partum and wish I would’ve got it sooner! I wear one while breastfeeding to catch my letdown. The suction is strong enough that when LO starts kicking, it doesn’t pop off. It’s already caught about 5-7 ounces of milk that would’ve been wasted. It’s pretty easy to clean and the storage bag is nice. Only downside is that it does catch fuzz easily – so, if you leave them laying around they might need a small wipe down.

  70. Edgars

Exactly as expected. Works with both suction and without depending on the requirement which is a major bonus.
    Great product for the price.

I use this as a passive milk collector while nursing or pumping on the other side, and it does the job well! It’s lightweight, soft, and super easy to clean. I like that it fits snugly without feeling too tight, and the suction is gentle but effective for catching letdown.
It’s not as strong as a traditional manual pump, so it’s best for collecting milk passively rather than actively expressing. The wide base helps prevent spills (which is a big plus when you’re half asleep during middle-of-the-night feeds!).
I gave it 4 stars only because it can lose suction if bumped, but overall, it’s a great tool to save every drop—especially in those early weeks.

    Update – 6months later. I don’t use this product.
I’ve been really impressed with this breast pump collector! One of the standout features is that it stays put—my baby can’t kick it off, and it doesn’t lose suction easily like some others. It also fits comfortably in a bra, making it much more discreet than the Haakaa, which is a big plus when I’m out and about or don’t want to fuss with repositioning. I also love that it can stand up on its own and pours easily without spilling.

The suction is definitely gentler than the Haakaa. I typically collect about 3 oz while feeding versus my usual 5 oz with the Haakaa. For that reason, I still prefer the Haakaa for regular feeds to maintain my milk supply—but these are absolutely perfect for travel, reclined nursing sessions, or quick catches when I don’t want to worry about spills or disruptions.

All in all, a super handy product that earns a solid place in my pumping routine!

I need to increase the suction periodically as they fill with milk, but it’s so easy to do just by pushing on the front through my bra. They are comfortable and convenient enough that I forget I’m wearing them. Just be careful not to spill then if you sit them down.

  93. Exactly how it was advertised

For longer feeds I do have to dump it into something else mid-feed or it’s too full, but it’s easy to put back on if that’s what I want to do.

No squeezing/folding/yadda yadda. Just place over your nipple, press down, and off you go. Thankful for the included plug. Easy to use, pour from, and rinse out. I’ll recommend this to any new mom I know who plans to BF.

  95. Grace Stevens

Game changer for breastfeeding. I collect at least 1-2 ounces from my letdown. It makes it so easy to collect extra milk at the beginning of postpartum with out pumping and making the engorgement period worse. It helps to ease the full feeling between feeds. Baby really can only eat on one side at a time so having this on the other side releases the milk effortlessly. It’s everything I hoped for with the Haka but 10000% better. Oh and pouring the milk into bags is beyond easy. I haven’t lost a drop! There is alllsooo this great feature that allows you to set it on the counter and it actually stands on its own! 10/10 would buy this for every new mama.

  96. XS

I really like this little thing. My baby is exclusively breastfed but I’ve found I leak from my other breast when she feeds. This has minimal suction which I like because I don’t want to really empty the other breast. It has enough suction to get out a little more than you’d normally leak but not enough to pump you. Its really easy to pour the milk out and clean. The stopper works well. The silicone feels soft and is comfortable. Overall i recommend!

Absolute favorite thing! I use it every time I breastfeed to collect milk from the other breast. I’ve tried to haaka and liked it but it was too big and bulky this is so much better it goes right into my bra and collects milk as I breast-feed from the other side

  108. Christine B.

Love love love this! Wish I had bought the 2 pack. It sticks on your breast with no problem under your bra. I have some issues with a little spillage, but considering everything I do with it on, it’s expected. It pours with no fuss and cleans easily with a small sponge like for bottles. I never have to worry about waste again when I’m pumping. I started my journey with the haakaa which was ok, but I will never go back. I only wish it had a wider base for sitting it down. It works well, but being busy and hectic, I’ve nocked it over a few times.

I never write reviews but this thing amazed me so much I needed to share how wonderful this is!A friend of mine told me about this but I was skeptical at first, tbh as a first time mom I was a little overwhelmed with all the options to choose from and the electric pump I previously tried wasn’t working for me until I decided to give this a try to increase my milk storage… GAME CHANGER!! I can’t believe it took me this long to get one!

I am honestly so happy I found this product. I was using the haakaa ladybugs in early stages of exclusively breast-feeding to catch my letdown on the other side or when I was leaking at night but a number of times I spilt the milk because they were really hard to pour (or you ended up forgetting about the other hole and milk went everywhere) when you were completely exhausted and I was really disappointing. These products I think do a much better job at getting just a little bit of milk out with just a tiny bit of suction versus the other original haakaa, which I could never figure out and it actually really hurt me. And there’s only one way to pour them so that helps and they come with a stopper, which I haven’t really needed to use, but it’s good to have. I just used them on our first road trip with our baby and they were a success and feel a lot more durable than the other products I was using. Because of these, I haven’t had to use other pumps and I find them to be really comfortable. You have to be careful with the amount of suction you use or it can cause a ring indentation but for the efficacy, that hasn’t bothered me. And I don’t need to use the highest amount of suction to have the same result. Just a little for me has gone a long way.

  123. mauricio lopez

I am 10 days postpartum and this has been the most useful product in my exclusive breastfeeding journey. It is perfect for catching the letdown from the opposite breast while I’m feeding. I am collecting about 2 oz during each feed that would otherwise go to waste and soil my body/clothing and easily building a freezer stash. It’s easy to wear, not too bulky and doesn’t fall off. I have not yet tried the suction feature. The only con is the silicone stoppers don’t work well and keep popping out – the plug could definitely be enhanced.

We had to supplement with extra bottles pretty early, and these were such a great way to get extra milk without pumping! I tried the Hakka originally but my baby would knock it off while I was nursing him on the other side. My sister gave me one of the boons to try it goes directly into your bra so it stays on. You press the sides in then attach so it suctions milk out. I’ve gotten as much as 3.5 oz if I use it first thing in the morning. They’re also great to throw on when you’re randomly leaking. I ended up buying a two pack because I used them so much. Overall would highly recommend for any new moms.

  144. Exactly how it was advertised

For all the moms out there- you need these! I bought them thinking I would not like these near as much as the haakaa. I was wrong. These cups conveniently sit in your bra and suction by the press of your finger. No more bending parts over while squeezing to get the right fit.

The cups are especially handy to moms who have more than one child. Because the cup sits inside of bra, my toddler cannot kick/hit it off. It saves my sanity (we all know we’ve cried over spilled milk 😅).

Their silicone design makes them easy to pour and easy to clean. They are also comfortable to wear while nursing. Overall, I highly recommend these cups!

  146. Exactly how it was advertised

  147. Emily Engeman

These are the ultimate hack to easily starting to store milk in early postpartum days without needing to use a pump. Also they’ll save your sheets and clothes from being drenched in milk. I’m using them for their second baby and cannot recommend these enough. Stick on other boob during feedings to provide light suction and catch the letdowns or use overnight to catch leaky milk! Be careful not to tip them the wrong way snd accidentally spill the milk before you can make it to the fridge. This happens as they are sorta easy to tip, but overall great product.

  152. Megan S.

The product works and helps to sleep through some of the night by collecting the milk. However, it’s an absolute joke to advertise these as discreet and wearable during the day. Anyone with more than an A cup cannot leave the house with these inserted into your bra. They have a nipple shape to them that is off and the design is very bulky. Effective yes, for everyday casual wear, no.

I’ve used the boon trove while exclusively breastfeeding my 2 month old and have .. no joke .. over 900oz of milk stored up simply with this product. As soon as I got home from the hospital I started using it during feeds and I’m convinced my body thinks it’s feeding twins and started to overproduce. I feed my baby on one side and collect on the other and rotate sides with each feed. This is my second baby and first time using this product (I used the haakaa with my first born) and my bf journey has been truly enjoyable this time around. I know I’ll need to use a real pump when she starts daycare soon, but this has given me freedom from pumps and planning and cords and frustration during my maternity leave and helped me build up one heck of a stash. Great design .. even during use in middle of the night half-asleep feeds, it’s pretty spill proof with a one handed bra to storage transfer. 1000/10 love it.

I use these daily while breastfeeding. They fit easily inside my bra and collect let down and any leakage while wearing them. I’ve been able to collect and freeze so much milk with these, and have been able to avoid using an actual pump – so much less maintenance! I’ve found the suction to be more than sufficient. I recommend these to any breastfeeding mom!

  164. WellsburyMom

I use these all day, every day. I love that the ladybug style fits in my bra and won’t get kicked off, and that I can get a set of two for a decent price so I’m not cleaning the one constantly. I just bought a second set for my diaper bag. The second set came with a pair of silicone plugs which are the most genius and helpful additions!
I have an oversupply, but after exclusively pumping with my first kid, I was loathe to tie myself to a pump again. I pop these on, whether I’m nursing on the other side or just going about life in between feeds, and it “pumps” enough that I’m not engorged but I’m also not completely draining myself.

BEST BREASTFEEDING ADJUNCT. Originally bought a haaka and hated it. I was gifted one of these and I absolutely loved it. Ended up purchasing the two pack to have some clean extras. Super easy to use inside the bra either as a passive catches during let downs or to suction on and manually expel a little extra milk. Fits perfectly in the bra and doesn’t get kicked off by your little one. Even with the suction, it is quite gentle and comfortable, nothing like the haaka. I would gift this for anyone who is expecting.

I was a haaka girl my lat two babies but this is way more manageable now that I’m a mom of three. Fits perfectly in your bra without worrying if it will be popped off by you or a baby kick. Easy to clean. I wouldn’t say it gets as much milk as the haaka but it does a good enough job with suction. Love this thing!

Okay, fellow breastfeeding parents, let me introduce you to what has quickly become an absolute essential in my feeding routine: the **BOON Trove milk catchers**. These little wonders are a total game-changer for catching that precious letdown from the opposite breast while I’m feeding, and they do it with a brilliance that surpasses all competitors.

Seriously, if you’ve ever battled with those other, more traditional milk catchers that cling on for dear life (until your baby’s rogue foot inevitably kicks them off, sending a cascade of liquid gold across your lap and the sofa), then you *need* the BOON Trove. The design is genius – it sits securely and comfortably, truly suctioning on in a way that makes it virtually kick-proof. I no longer live in fear of the dreaded “milk explosion” mid-feed, and my laundry pile has drastically shrunk!

They’re incredibly effective at collecting every drop of letdown, making sure none of that liquid gold goes to waste. Easy to use, easy to clean, and most importantly, utterly reliable. The BOON Trove has eliminated so much feeding-time frustration and has genuinely helped me build my freezer stash effortlessly. Highly, highly recommend!

  185. Ryan Aitken

  186. Elizabeth

Oh my word this is my fav breastfeeding accessory. I tried a haakaa and my baby would always kick it off and it would spill everywhere but this allows everything to stay in place! My breastmilk flow is really fast and there’s a lot of it so my baby gets full from just one side. This thing allows me to get some relief from engorgement and collect the extra milk on one side while I feed my little guy on the other side. It’s seriously so amazing, would definitely recommend!

I wasn’t sure about the result, however, I just started using it like “hmm let me use it now that my baby just wants a bottle” (she breastfed and use bottle too) and while I was giving the bottle to her, I forgot I had it on (with a bra) and I just collected 1oz in 10 minutes, perhaps 15.

I wanted something smaller than the haaka. I haven’t use the haaka, however, this is great. It is easy to use, it does not falls when using a bra. Easy to clean. Easy to wear. I haven’t use it laying down or laying on the side. But it should work well with bra.

Comfortable, easy to put on, one press last whole feed time. Easy to clean, light. Can stand with milk in it.
Elvie one is not as comfortable, two parts to clean, heavier, need to keep pressing multiple times during feed, collects less milk, and when putting milk there’s this release top bit where milk catches which isn’t the best design.
Overall Ben Troove is top 👍🏻

  191. Jose Amado Requena

I love these. The hole where your nipples go was a little small the first few times I used them but my breasts have gone down since then and I no longer have any issues with that. These fit pretty well in my nursing bras and nursing tanks. I just look like I’ve super stuffed my shirts when I have them on but they work great to collect extra milk when I can’t nurse or pump on time. Also, works great when having one on one breast and the other breast nursing.

  192. mauricio lopez

I love this passive pumps/milk collector fits inside my bra, and also suctions on without a bra. I have the original Haakaa however my baby accidentally kicks it off when breastfeeding, spilling all the collected milk. I was deciding between this and the Haakaa Shell passive pumps/milk collectors. The Boon Trove has a very simple design which is very easy pour milk out of and to clean, compared to my idea of the Haakaa Shell.

Four stars because I’m almost positive I received a ‘returned’ product. The bag smelt like musty cologne but I didn’t have time to go through the return process. So I washed the bag and boiled the cups for 5 minutes (per the instructions). So far these collection cups have been amazing! I usually nurse every 2.5 hours and will use a collection cup on the other side to catch the let down. I’ve collected 1-2 ounces almost every time and it doesn’t hurt or feel like my body is producing more milk which is wonderful. I haven’t not needed to use my breast pump at all yet since I’ve been collecting so much milk. The cups are not super slim so you could wear them out if you needed (you should never be embarrassed about collecting food for you kid if you need to). The cups are super soft silicone and very easy to clean, I usually rinse them immediately with extra hot water once the baby is done nursing and let them air dry. These are wonderful because they don’t get kicked off easily like the haakaa. I usually just wear a tight t-shirt and that’s enough to hold them in place. I wish I had these with my first baby because I feel like I wouldn’t have wasted so much milk. The one thing I have to say is practice a few pours with water first because sometimes it doesn’t go directly down the arrow or it comes out faster than you’d expect. But once you have it down, it’s fairly simple. I would recommend these to any mom!

This is my third go around with nursing. The Trove is by far the best milk collector. It easily goes into my bra. I love that it isn’t dangling off, easily kicked by my baby. It provides light suction, if you give it a squeeze. Easy to clean. Easy to travel with. Wish I had gotten 2 pack!

Only con is, the bottom has a flat area to help stand it up, but it always feels like it’s going to fall over. I’ve only knocked it over once, but do worrying Everytime that it is going to fall over. I just wish it somehow had a larger, flatter surface to make me more comfortable with sitting it down full. But like I said, it actually hasn’t fallen over except the one time I bumped it.

  198. Danielle

My first day home with our new baby I was still trying to figure out how breastfeeding works. My milk was just coming in that day too and I was shocked to see how much would just start dripping out and making a mess. I tried using the traditional haaka and wound up SO frustrated. It would either fall off, baby would kick it off (doesn’t work to use haaka with a cross cradle nursing position), AND I couldn’t use it while doing anything except sitting straight up. When I would recline the slightest bit, it would start catching milk in the top portion and it would spill out when removing or adjusting.
I quickly ordered these and I am SO glad I did. Have used them nonstop since they came in. I continued having a strong letdown so I use these almost every time I nurse to catch milk from the side I’m not nursing on. I’ll switch it to the other side after feeding to catch anything else. You can set them in your bra as is, or you can suction them on a bit to increase output. I usually catch anywhere from .5 oz to 1.5 oz per feeding – which I then get to store. With these I’ve actually built up quite the little stash without even pumping yet. These pretty much have to be used with a bra/nursing bra and they’re not too noticeable under a shirt. I could see them being harder to use the bigger chested you are. I am not very busty to begin with so these have fit just fine. I find the material these are made of to be a little sticky? I give them a good rinse after each use and wash regularly, but they always end up getting hair or fuzz stuck to them (we have dogs). Overall they have been the perfect solution to catch that extra milk and help manage my supply!

  199. Stephanie Maddux

they do really great at collecting milk, pretty easy to clean, pour out well and collect a lot. not entirely discreet but not any issue for at home use. they do make the nipples really sore because they indent into them. that makes breastfeeding a little hard so i can’t wear them for a long time. they don’t leak for the most part but can’t really sleep in them like some of the other reviews say or else they’ll start to leak. to get best suction squeeze it on to the nipple.

I had been using the ladybug haaka since my baby was born and I didn’t catch much let down during a feed on the opposite side. I just thought that was normal and nothing would help. I was on a breastfeeding group and someone mentioned boon trove is better than any other collection cup. So I thought I’d buy one to try it out. I now connect twice as much as I was with my ladybug haaka. I don’t even use my ladybug haakas anymore I only use this collection cup. I’m going to buy another one so I’m not constantly cleaning the one I have. I’ve been able to gather a pretty good sized freezer stash and I exclusively breastfeed. I now collect probably 16 ounces just from letdown each day to freeze. I’m about to run out of freezer space, so be ready if you plan to freeze you’ll have a nice stash.
