This bottle is a game changer for grandma. We’ve been using the Dr Brown wide anti colic bottle since my DIL introduced bottle feeding to my 3 mo grandson and it’s been ok but it just wasn’t checking all the boxes, he would still struggle with latching, burping him was a challenge, feeding was not effortless on either side. This “purple bottle” as I like to call it, actually soothes him! He latches on perfectly, the nipple is soft and playable. The flow seems faster than the Dr B slow flow nipple but it may seem like that because the nipple is vented and also so much more playable than Dr B nipples. It’s definitely not too much for the baby, he actually starts nodding off to sleep when he’s getting full. I’m amazed and thankful! I’m still able to burp him, even though he’s half asleep, and his burps are less manly and don’t seem as forced or uncomfortable. I’m also relieved that it’s only 3 pieces to assemble. I’m ordering my second set now and will be sharing with the in-laws so we can all have a better feeding experience with the little one. For additional context, my grandson is primarily breast feeding, and was introduced to the bottle at 4 weeks old. My DIL went back to work part-time last month so bottle feeding is now a part time occurrence and happening 3 days a week. My son, her sister and mother and myself, share the babysitting duties. I really believe this bottle will help us all enjoy our time with the baby vs stressing over feeding time and bottle maintenance.
