This is a very easy to use pump, just two modes which I love, good suction power, free to move around and get things done while pumping. The battery life is fair. Overall happy with this one. The only issue I have with this one is that when breast are way to full it takes nothing out. Needed to pump manually about 10 oz for the medela pump to get the job done.

I waited to write a review until I had a solid amount of time and use with this pump, and honestly, 5 months in it’s barely functional after general use and very careful handling.I am an exclusively bf mom, but pump 1-2 times per day as needed. When I first purchased it was amazing- super user friendly and minimal parts to clean which was amazing! Of the 3 pumps I have (two hospital grade/portable and one wall hospital grade) this one was definitely the simplest. I will say the power pack is heavy and bulky for a “portable” pump, it’s EXTREMELY loud on its lowest settings, and it’s annoying that the cups aren’t spill proof (so you can’t really do much with it on) but I did find for driving or generally being out of the house but stationary it did the trick.Well that all changed about 3 months in when it started to randomly change the pump setting (all of a sudden go from a 6 to a 9 without my touching the pump or settings), freeze, die when fully charged, pump at random intervals (slow and inconsistent) or just generally stop working. It’s a very inconvenient and slightly dangerous thing when your pump is “ portable” and not reliable- especially if you aren’t home and need to express. The one year warranty requires you to go through the company who will only speak to you over the phone- as newborn parents, that’s probably the most aggravating requirement in the world as there is almost no time in a day to set up a call deal with their customer service team. No matter how many times I send videos of the issues and emails they insist I must speak to them over the phone.I am still working on a resolution to this, and will update this review with then final outcome, but I did want to provide the good and bad for those who may find it helpful- I did a mountain of research when I was pump shopping, as being a first time mom I wanted to make sure it would cause the least amount of headache for me and my family, and unfortunately it feels like the headaches just won’t stop with this product.

Love this pump!!! I am a traveling, working mom. That exclusively pumps going on 9 months now. This pump along with the medela pump in style are a winning combination. I would not recommend the freestyle pump as a solo pump. It’s best for those pumping session on the move. It’s reliable and powerful but it’s just not as powerful as the plug in wall units- and it’s not meant to be. As an example, I usually pump 20 minutes whereas the pump in style I go for 15 minutes- not a huge difference but definitely a difference.I love how easy it is to clean. There are only three pieces!!! This was a big selling point for me because I am usually away from home cleaning my pump in a hotel, airport or public bathroom. If you are trying to decide between this and a unit that doesn’t have tubes. I was also worried about the tubes, but in practice I have never had an issue. And it’s not a deal breaker for me.I also love that this unit allows for me to do light house chores and desk work while pumping. You can really do anything that doesn’t require you to bend over 90 degrees or jump around. For me this was a huge deal mentally since I exclusively pump. I wouldn’t be able to keep at it without the freedom this pump provides. I also highly recommend the book milk memos for any moms buying this unit for the return to the office from leave. The pump and book should really be sold together as they both helped me immensely!Final point- medela is a fantastic company. After 6 months of daily use my pump died. Honestly I don’t think this indicates the pump is poorly engineered. But either way there is a 1 year warranty on the pump for these type of situations. The medela customer support was very knowledgeable and helpful. Medela supplied me with a replacement pump quickly.

Very pleased with this cooler bag. I used the medela bottles to store my breastmilk as I am exclusively pumping and this bag is amazing for when I am out and about with my baby. I used to either bring breastmilk out with me or when I have to pump on the go and have to store expressed milk until I get home. Used it multiple times already and it stayed cold the whole day.

UPDATED: It has been 6 months and I HATE THIS PUMP! I hate it so much it’s 5AM and I am typing this out instead of sleeping bc I want to smash this damn thing into bits. First off you can never get the damn thing on your nipples the exact same time every time. You have to be in the bright lights, lining it up and it never works the first time, constantly relining it up. IF you don’t line it up just right then you waste 15-30 minutes of pumping bc there barely a drop in there. BUT I produce so much I know my breasts are full and usually on my Spectra I can pull 10 oz no problem. On this…sometimes 5 oz sometimes 1 oz. it’s awful. To solve this problem? Then you have to have a super tight bra to smash them between OR else it isn’t powerful enough to stay in place and suction enough milk off. Then the tube that connects to the unit pulls out with the SLIGHTS tension! It will come out and fall the the ground in a heartbeat. This is a huge flaw!!! Where the tube connects to the egg cups is pressed in so TIGHT that you have to pry it out with your fingers. It hurts so much if you have any hand or finger issues OR long nails. They will snap those suckers off. The unit has NO CLIP or anchor to your body other than a stupid ass wrist strap that makes NO SENSE!!! IT IS HANDS FREE!!! WHY PUT A WRIST STRAP ON IT! Then in the last 30 days the touch screen WILL NOT WORK after 10 mins in your pocket. It won’t shut off or pause so I have to hold the TINY ASS power button till it shuts off. I am so disappointed in the LARGE AMOUNT of money I spent on this stupid frickin pump. You can’t buy replacements parts. You can’t buy the little yellow things so DON’T break those or you’re out $300!!! Also it is NOT quiet. You set it on something it rattles like a paint mixer. This wouldn’t be a deal breaker BUT even in your pocket it is loud. I WOULD LOVE MY MONEY BACK AND THE TIME I SPENT ON THIS DAMN DEVICE
So I needed something hands free and powerful. I thought the other brands were lacking and I liked that this brand has a remote instead of looking down at the top of the “egg”. So here are a few things are 4 weeks of using:
Cons: really hard to take apart and pop back together. they fit well and snap but even my husband wants to chuck them. Next the suction of the machine even at full charge doesn’t come close to my spectra 2. I pumped from my S2 after this medela Freestyle and got 5 more ounces. Also they need to offer more egg shell sold separately. cleaning and sanitizing everything takes away from my sleep so much. Also the motor is loud, esp laying it down on a counter. It needs a belt clip as well. where do I stick this vibrating noice maker? I don’t always have pockets when I’m pumping and the wrist strap is stupid, it’s heavy machine and I need my hands free. Hard to aim the nipple in the hole just right. Also the port holes at the top where you plug in the egg to machine, dude that are so hard to pop out for ppl with hand disabilities. even my husband had a hard time.
Pros: it is not too loud when not on a hard surface, in the beginning it pumped a lot better. it now been losing sucking power with with increased levels. It does pull good amount of liquid. It is hands free and hasn’t leaked at all
Overall: not yet worth 350 personally but I needed one that was hands free and the other models don’t work for me because I need the remote feature. I can’t vend my neck well. I think if it had longer sucking power it would be great.

When you read negative reviews for breast pumps, the #1 issue you see is a failed motor. When I was deciding on which pump to buy, it seemed that all brands had this issue sometimes. So, it was important to me to buy a pump with a good warranty and this pump comes with a 1 year warranty. My motor failed 3 months in in the middle of the night – I was unsurprised but certainly stressed. I called first thing in the morning and they gave me no trouble whatsoever with the warranty – a new pump was shipped out immediately and I received it in just over 24 hours. I cannot say enough good things about the customer service.
Pump is functional, comfortable and performs as expected. I’ve had no issues with the other parts (other than normal wear & tear) and appreciate the ease of use/cleaning.
Only note – very few women have nipples large enough to need the flanges provided with most pumps. Get measured by an LC and buy appropriate silicon inserts.

At first when I received this pump, it didn’t work well for me and I was disappointed. However, I learned that it was my mistake in how I set it up. I was using the 24 size covers (provided with this unit) when my sizes needed were actually smaller. I got some nipple sizing inserts to fit each side appropriately and used the smaller 21 size cups and now the pump works great. It allows me to produce almost just as much as my wall pump. I normally go 20 minutes or so with the wall pump whereas with this pump I’m using a full 25-30 minute session with almost the same results. There are minimal parts to clean and it’s very user intuitive. The only downside, which really hasn’t been too much of an issue for me yet, is the holes in the top which could allow milk to spill out if you bend fully over. This wouldn’t prevent me from purchasing again. Very happy with it.

This is a great little cooler bag – includes an ice pack and 4 medela bottles. These hook up perfectly to the medela pump parts I use with my spectra pump so this was a super convenient purchase. I was able to travel cross country with breast milk in this bag and it stayed cold for the duration of the flight and travel.

I can confidently say this is one of the best purchases I’ve made as a mom. I’ve been using this Medela pump for almost 19 months, every single day, at least 3 times a day. It has been a true workhorse and has helped me continue breastfeeding far longer than I ever expected.
I originally bought it when I returned to work and had to pump while my daughter was in daycare so she would still have breastmilk there. For the first 15 months, it worked flawlessly. Then, after so much heavy use, the battery stopped holding a charge. At that point, I simply kept it plugged in while pumping, which wasn’t a problem for me since I often pump in the car or at my desk. Even with that minor change, the pump continued to work reliably for several more months before it finally started acting up.
On average, I’m able to pump about 4 ounces in a 15–20 minute session. Of course, that’s just my personal experience — I know results will vary depending on each person’s milk supply — but I find that efficiency really helpful on busy days.
I was so happy with its performance that I didn’t even think twice before ordering the exact same pump again. Considering the amount of use it’s had — 19 months, multiple times a day — I think the lifespan is excellent.
The suction is strong, which makes pumping sessions efficient. It’s also very straightforward to operate, which is important when you’re short on time. The size is practical — I’ve even managed to tuck it into my pants pocket while using it (it’s slightly larger than a pocket, but it stayed in place and didn’t fall out).
If I had to mention a downside, it’s that it isn’t the quietest pump. Personally, that never bothered me, but it might be something to consider if noise level is important to you.
Pros: • ✅ Lasted 19 months with heavy daily use • ✅ Strong suction for effective pumping • ✅ Easy to operate and clean • ✅ Portable size for on-the-go use • ✅ Reliable even after long-term use
Cons: • ❌ Battery may lose capacity after long, heavy use • ❌ Slightly louder than some pumps
Summary: This pump has been an essential part of my breastfeeding journey. It’s strong, dependable, and easy to use, and it held up far longer than I expected given how much I used it. Based on my personal experience, it’s efficient and convenient, and I feel confident recommending it to any mom looking for a reliable everyday pump.

This is a long review, but if anything READ THIS: When I read the manual one thing caught my attention, that I think is important to note, especially if you are an EP and/or are planning on pumping for an extended period; “The operating life of the breast pump is 250 hours.” That means that at 15 min a pump, 8 pumps a day, this will last you a little over 4 months. Medela has a 1-year warranty but will it cover it if it states the operating life is 250 hours? My guess is no. For the cost of the pump to only be good for 4 maybe 5 months I don’t find it worth it, but of course it’s not advertised. I wish I could get my money back.
I really wanted to love this pump. I was so excited when it went on sale for prime day and I got it. I paid $279 (from $349).
I’m a first time mom, & the pump that I got through my insurance did not work for me at all (motif duo). My son was in NICU for 11 days so I was able to use the Medela Symphony during that time. The lactation specialist recommended that I look for a Medela pump, so I got the Medela Advanced pump, and it worked very well, but it was not hands free so i was stuck to the spot for 20 min every 3 hours (I over produce so my Dr. recommend that I pump a little extra so I don’t have to pump every 2 hours).
Back to the freestyle; the suction is not the same, so my expression is way less (even at a high level) I only get about half of what I usually get & it leaves me feeling still full & wanting to pump sooner. The pump has a vibration feel that lingers around for sometime after every pump. The pump/monitor is hard to carry around, there’s a wristband but you’ll hit everything as you move your hands around, and yes, it can easily fit in your pocket, but it is very sensitive to touch, so you’ll accidentally press the buttons all the time. I tried putting it in between my boobs, but the vibration feeling was even stronger. It’s almost like you’ve got to sit and place if face up when pumping so it doesn’t touch anything, which completely defies the purpose. If you pump longer than 15 minutes the pump/monitor freezes, the buttons don’t work and it won’t stop when you press the play/pause, you’ll have to power it off from the power button and then when I power it back on it gives me an error (E2) which I’ve looked for in the manual and did not find anywhere. I also asked the chat on the app and it did not give me an answer. It kinda freaks me out a little when it happens because I’m afraid it’s just going to keep pumping and I won’t be able to turn it off & will have to pull my nipples free. The Medela app (iPhone) has good potential, very good informational articles/videos on baby development, breastfeeding, pumping, etc. but the stats from connecting to the pump, are glitchy, it won’t let me input my own pump session & it freezes often. I also do like that it will automatically change to expression mode after two minutes. & I also like that it’s only 3 parts to clean per pump & no tiny parts.
I did extensive research on a hands free pump because of how pricey they are, other brands such as Momcozy, Willow Go, & Elvie are ranked higher, but I love my Medela pump so much that I wanted to give Medela Hands Free a shot.
Again, I wish I could get my money back.

I’m so impressed with the Medela Hands-Free Freestyle pump! As a busy working mom, the hands-free design has been a lifesaver. It’s comfortable to wear & surprisingly quiet. I love how compact it is. I can pump while working, or on the move taking care of my kids. The parts are simple to assemble and clean which is a huge time saver. This pump has made my breastfeeding journey so much easier and more manageable. Highly recommend it to any mom looking for convenience without sacrificing performance.

Absolutely love this pump. I got it to use as my only pump while working. I was nervous that it wouldn’t pump as well as my spectra, however I get just as much milk as I did for my first baby using the spectra pump. I’ve been using it for 5 months and am so happy I purchased it. The battery life could be better. I can usually get three pumps before the battery is down to one. The battery is only broken up into three sections, which is a bummer because I would like to have a better idea of how much battery is left. The noise level is loud enough that I couldn’t be around people without them hearing it, but it’s discreet enough that I will do it at my desk if there aren’t people right around, and then if someone comes up to me I can just pause it. For me, the best part is being able to pump in the car on my commute to work. Rather than showing up to work 30 minutes early to get a pump in, I just pump in my car and empty it out when I get to work. It’s also portable enough that I can do some things at home while pumping. I have to be careful not to bend over or do anything to mess up the pump suction, but it’s still much nicer than being tied down with my spectra pump. I’ve had a few issues with it freezing up while pumping and not being able to adjust anything, but a quick reset has resolved the issue every time… however it’s frustrating to spend so much money on a pump for it to not work properly. What’s more is my concern that the issue will get worse. Overall I am very happy I purchased this pump and would recommend it to anyone considering it.

It saved me so much time! I have the spectra but I couldn’t do anything else while pumping even with a hands free bra, the pumps wouldn’t stay well. Besides you can’t really move around with the spectra station. With the Medela, you can really move around and do other stuff like feeding the bottle to your LO, change their diapers, cook, play with your LO, etc. That saved me 4 hours a day and I can spend more time with my LO! I make the same amount of milk as the spectra per session . But since I am able to pump more often with the Medela, I actually pump more per day. My nipples are smaller than 21 mm, so I bought silicon flanges, I highly advised it because it made pumping much more comfortable. I also bought a fanny bag compatible with Medela because when I was putting the remote around my neck, it would hang around and I would accidentally hit a button since there is no lock button. It’s pretty discreet. If needed, you can wear a big sweatshirt and go for a walk. It’s also very easy to use and to clean. I love this Medela pump, my only regret is not to have bought it sooner.

Perfect for when you need to extract in your car/office… ( any place out of home) and you know you won’t be at home in the next hours. Can’t wait to try them. The size is good and also the seal. It seems they are easy to clean also.

This is the best working busy mom pump. I bought a running belt i put the motor in and im in the shop working, at the store, going for a walk, or playing with my kids. Only downside i say is that you CAN NOT charge over 2 hours or the pump forms a memory and dies shortly after. All in all it expresses as much as the Spectra pumps, but your not tethered to a mass of tubes getting caught on drawer handles and holding the bulky pump or tethered to the wall. It lasts 4 – 30 min sessions. Ive tried a few other portable pumps and cleaning the components were too complicated. I use medela sani spray to clean up and ready for next use. The parts are top shelf dishwasher safe. Insurance also covers replacement shield components and tubing.

I’m not new to breast pumps. With my first baby, I used the Spectra 2. This time I wanted something hands free and easier to carry around. I initially got the Willow Go but SOOO many parts to clean!! And finicky – if just one part is not placed just right, it doesn’t work well. I ordered this pump and am so happy I did!! Been using it about a month now and works well for me. I’m doing a combination of breast feeding and pumping. I pump 1-2 times daily. While it doesn’t have as strong of suction as the Spectra, it’s enough for me. LOVE that it only has 3 parts per cup and assembly is super easy. Plus, if the parts are straight out of the sterilizer and still damp, it still works perfectly. AND replacement parts are relatively affordable. Comes with 2 flange sizes too. The pump is louder than others. If you are on the phone with someone, they will hear it. But doesn’t bother me much. 2 reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: occasionally the screen freezes (has happened to me twice over the 1 month of daily use so far) and only resolves with power cycling. Also, when the screen is working properly, it’s easy to accidentally hit a button, which means I can’t easily slip it in my pocket without inadvertently pausing it or changing the suction setting.

I’ve had the Medela Freestyle for a few days now and I’m using it about 1-2 times per day when I’m not able to sit down with my Pump In Style. It is by far the most comfortable pump I own. I also have a Momcozy M6 and that pump is heavy in the bra and hard to maneuver around in. The Freestyle is lightweight in the bra and I love the ability to put the motor in my back pocket out of the way. Tubes make my shirt pop out a bit but that isn’t an issue when I’m using it at home. I have not experienced buttons being pushed while the motor is in my pocket. It is not as sensitive as other reviews have said, which I was afraid of when deciding which pump to buy. Collection cups are easy to clean and I’m so glad it’s minimal pieces. Overall, I’m really hoping this pump lasts because it’s my favorite.

The Medela had a great fit and wonderful suction. Actually received more milk let down from this device that the Spectra s1. I think it’s important to remember that every pump and person is different and to find the right combination to increase your comfort and milk expression. Overall I have no complaints with this product and I think that everyone should be able to try and experience its convenience. The lanyard is a fantastic touch and allows for mobility while pumping that increased our quality of life dramatically compared to sit down pumps.

I could take advantage of the price, and it worth it! Everything is fine. The cooler bag feels of good quality and also the bottles. Perfect for when you need to extract in your car/office… ( any place out of home) and you know you won’t be at home in the next hours. Can’t wait to try them. The size is good and also the seal. It seems they are easy to clean also.

I really loved this purchase! I was using those milk storage bags throughout the week too store fresh pumped milk in the fridge for my baby but hated that I was wasting so much plastic. So, I switched to using these for fresh milk storage and used the bags only for freezer storage. I like that the ice pack fits around the bottles so it keeps the milk cold for longer periods of time. It’s super useful for traveling or pumping anywhere outside of your home. The bag is a nice size to fit into a diaper bag too.

I’ve been loving my Medela breast pump! I’ve been using it for 3 weeks and it’s been great! No pain. Love that it shows the amount of time pumping. You can pump one boob at a time if you wish. I usually pump after my baby has finished on one breast to get more supply going. I had the Willow for my first baby in 2019 and MUCH prefer this one. It keeps charge for the day and is quick to recharge. Easy to clean. Not loud. When I first put it on I wasn’t getting suction but brought it to my lactation consultant appointment and turns out I didn’t have it on properly. You need to ensure all is sealed for it to work. Haven’t had any issues since. Also the fit relies on your bra so if your bra is too loose you won’t get suction. I haven’t had any issue with this but thought I’d mention as there are so many reviews about lack of suction? I use it on level 1-2 usually 3 is too strong, there are plenty more levels to use if you need more suction but not necessary. I am using the 21mm. Highly recommend having a lactation consultant help with sizing. I also use a breast shield / nipple shield when feeding baby at the boob by Medela – a game changer!!
Edit July 2025 – Came back to give another update! Still using this pump 5 months later. Still has amazing suction. No issue with the motor. This pump emptied my breasts better than my child. I only pump now if it’s before bed, if I’m driving, or if my baby goes through some sort of decrease in feeding. Sometimes once a day. It’s come in handy with my period as it just came back and I noticed my supply tanked. You do have to buy the replacement cups more frequently than I’d like (about every 2 months). I’ve bought 2 sets already (in addition to the original) at 5.5 months pp. I microwave the parts in the steam bag and think it slightly warps the plastic even though I’m following manufacturer guidance and only doing 50 seconds of time with water. Still I like this pump as the batter keeps, and I can pop one into my bra easily. It is perfect for pumping in the car! Still recommend, but just be aware of the replacement parts needed every 2 or so months.

As a first time mom, I did a lot of research on different pumps, wanting to make sure I got the right one that provided the best output and was easy and convenient to use. I own the Philip advent plug in pump and was looking for a portable one that could be used for when I’m away from the house or my baby for long periods of time. The price of this was hard to swallow and it didn’t have the best reviews compared to other brands but I will tell you buying this pump was the best decision I made. I’ve adapted to using this pump as my main one so it’s used multiple times a day.
If you have the pump in your registry, the completion discount is available on it as well as a monthly payment plan which is extremely helpful.
My output with this pump is almost double compared to my Philips. I am not getting clogged ducts anymore because the pump is actually emptying me fully.
There are a small amount of parts, which are easy to take apart and clean and the collection cups are easy to pour your milk out after every session and they fit right into your bra. The box came with 2 sized flanges and the motor is very self explanatory and easy to use. Compared to my other pump, it’s alot easier to multitask and maneuver while pumping and you aren’t stuck to the wall. You do still have tubes sticking out and the motor isn’t super small but in my opinion those are small inconveniences.
The motor is kind of loud. It is easy to drown out with tv or a radio but it is loud. It’s also a little more “challenging” to pump on one side and not both at the same time. You have to cover the hole on the other side of the tube, so you have to hold it the whole time. It is doable just not as easy.
About a month in, I did have an issue with the motor battery not working however, I called Medela customer service and they shipped out a replacement motor and charger to me the same day. They were great to work with and was super easy to have a resolution for my problem.
Bottom line, this is a great pump and I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this breastmilk cooler! It does a fantastic job keeping my milk cold and fresh wherever I go. It’s compact and easy to carry, so I bring it with me everywhere—whether it’s a quick trip to the park or a longer outing.
The insulation really works, and I never have to worry about my milk warming up. It’s become an essential part of my daily routine. Highly recommend to any breastfeeding parent on the go!

Ok first of all let me start by saying I love this pump! Yes should have not listened to my husband and bought it a long time ago – I got the In-Style Medela via insurance as it was the only one that had the least copay.- let me do a comparison: 1) Free Style offers freedom to move! Small and compact! and I love love the In bra cups which give you freedom of movement without dropping the bottle (hate the bottle design, I’m pretty sure a man designed that system because they thought it’s ok for a woman to look like a milking cow!!). I was tethered to one place with the In Style as it was bulky and the battery charger would easily split off if you move around (even if you had contained everything in a carryon bag)! With this Free Style pump, you can move around as much as you like and it won’t shut off cz guess what, the rechargeable battery is in the pump!! Not sure why they couldn’t also do that in the In Style given how bulky it is. 2) Free Style is so easy to use with clear buttons and an LCD screen! Click the on button and voila the screen lights up and you press on play. Even in the middle of the night I know exactly what up press and where I am in the pump Cycle. With the In Style I used to get confused what to press to switch from expression to let down and often restarted with the off/on button which is frustrating as it means the pump should stop at 30min and I would be restarting the pump cycle every so often. 3) the Free style is quieter than the In Style – feels like I don’t even hear it when I am walking around. The In Style has an industrial sound like a small excavator which is annoying!! 4) love that half way though the Free Style gives you a small celebratory beep at 15 min, lifts my spirits that I’m half way done (it stops at 30 min) 5) the suction is amazing with the Free Style, I was able to get an extra 20% compared to the In Style. 6) the I’m Style had a short tube that has a triangular shape fitting into the pump…does not split if you live around given it’s stable as opposed to the long and unstable tubes for the in Style that kept on getting stuck everywhere (on kitchen cabinet handles, corners of tables) and would rather split off and I would lose suction of pull my bottles and I would lose milk And and a mini break down 7) the Free Style should replace the In Style or have the product manager of I’m Style get inspired by the design and upgrade the In Style – does not make sense to have a pump without a screen or lights or rechargeable batteries contained in the pump

Update: Finally this case with medela is finished!!!!
It has been a pain in the butt. The customer service lies!!! And if you have a pump that is not working and still under warranty you will have to chase them. The good thing is You will get eventually get it.
So after the 3 days I got a replacement pump, the maxi swing. The maxi swing is great. The only thing is at about 2.5 30 min pumping sessions I have to charge it. It’s round so It won’t fit in some pockets of my pants. It doesn’t give you time or battery status, so you need to be aware of it on the app.
Back to the update, In the beginning of May I called medela about an update for the freestyle. And they told me they were out of stock and should be getting them on May 20, but that it was not a guarantee. So I gave them over a month ( as I saw online that the medela website had them out of stock. So I thought there was a chance that that is what they ment by out of stock.) I then called them on June 27. The lady said that them sending me the replacement had nothing to do with what they had in stock online. She placed me on hold and then said they were going to send it to me. Finally June 29!!!! I got the pump ( no cups). The pump is not for the hands-free one. It’s all yellow and looks like the one that comes with the freestyle flex.
So to sum this up, disappointed. I am glad I got something and eventually got my money’s worth. But it’s sad that you have to chase them down. Which is very sneaky, because I wonder how many people just give up and get taken advantage of. Its a waste of money and time. At this rate I would say buy either a cheaper medela pump or get from a different brand. The customer service is friendly but they are not given the right information or they are not honest with their customers.
——
I saw reviews from people who said it was not reliable if your are just pumpin to feed your baby. But I went ahead and bought it.
It was amazing while it worked. Suction was not aggressive and cups are not super bulky. Which are a plus
Unfortunately… Be aware of charging times. This pump worked for about 3 to 4 sessions (30 min) I exclusively pump and if you leave this pump to charge over 2 hours it will stop working ( that is what the representative at medela told me) I bought this on April 2 and on the 18th at 1:30am it would not turn on. I contacted medela and they were friendly and helpful. The lady said that me leaving it to charge 3-4 hours could be the result of it dying as the max is 2 hours They advised me they would expedite me a replacement, and I should get an email with tracking. 3 days later I didn’t get anything. I called them to confirm and the lady said they were out of stock and one was not sent. She then offered to send me a medela swing maxi for the mean time. She advised that once they get back in stock they will send me this one. But at this point I am not even sure if I will get this one again.
But so far if you are relying on this pump for exclusive pumping be aware that if you run into issues with it you should have another pump that you can fall back on. As medela will not reach out to let you know they don’t have any in-stock to replace for you.
So at this point I give this a 1 star. I paid $500 and have no medela pump. The price, for something that can not be left to charge longer then 2 hours ( no over night charging). And Customer service can not send you a replacement and will not let you know if it is out of stock.
I will update this review with final results

I honestly didn’t expect to love the Medela Freestyle as much as I do. I had heard so many stories about hands-free options causing supply dips due to incomplete emptying, so I was wary of straying from my Spectra pump. But I’ve been VERY pleasantly surprised!
In terms of output, I’m seeing comparable results to my standard plug-in pump with only about 4 extra minutes of pumping time per session. For the ability to move around and not be tethered to a wall, that’s more than worth it. That’s a small tradeoff for the freedom to move around and actually do things while I pump.s
Compared to other hands-free pumps I’ve tried (like the Willow), this one is much more user-friendly. The setup is intuitive, the controls are simple, and the whole experience feels streamlined and user friendly. With a newborn, I just don’t have time to troubleshoot complicated gadgets while juggling everything.
One of my favorite features: there are only 3 parts to clean per side!!! That’s it. And they’re incredibly easy to wash, which makes a huge difference when you’re pumping multiple times a day and already exhausted.
Small critique: the touchscreen is a bit too sensitive, so if you slip the pump into a pocket or bump it the wrong way, it can accidentally pause. It’s not a dealbreaker at all, but something to be mindful of. Other than that tiny note, I have zero complaints. This pump has made my daily routine so much more manageable.
If you’re on the fence about hands-free pumps or worried about supply issues, this one is 100% worth trying. It’s a great balance of convenience and performance — and it’s now my go-to for daytime pumping sessions.

Solo me sirvió 20 días.

I absolutely LOVE this pump. I was quite skeptical buying the Freestyle after reading mixed reviews – I am so happy that I went with it. I was struggling to find a good pump to help increase my milk supply and I tried two wearable breast pumps (Mom Cozy and a knock off brand) and found that they weren’t effective and were actually painful despite being fitted by a lactation consultant. After trying those options, I opted for the Medela Symphony which is the plug in pump used in hospitals. It was effective, but I was going a little crazy with being stuck to a stationary machine. Then comes the Freestyle, which to my surprise is as effective as Medela’s hospital grade version so I am able to work up to increasing my milk supply while having a bit of freedom. In response to other people’s complaints, yes the pump is a bit on the loud side, however, the pump is +++ effective and you’re probably just using it around the house anyways. It’s portable and a bit on the bigger side which is understandably so in order to be a strong pump. Second, some people say that it’s tough to open and close the cups, which I think is what you want as there is no leakage. If you figure out where to apply a bit of pressure on the plastic, it opens quite easily. The touch screen is great and it holds a pretty good charge. The cups are comfortable and haven’t led to any chafing. Also, I am thrilled with how few parts there are to clean which makes it an easy turn around! Overall, I am very happy with my decision to get this pump – it has given me peace of mind to have finally found the perfect solution for a pump!

I LOVE this pump compared to everything else ive tried with this baby.. Had my 2nd baby 21 years after my first. The medela pump i had 21 years ago was amazing but sadly no longer made. This pump is easy to coean, only 3 pieces, it hasnt an excellent seal, its only leaked once and that was because i didnt completely snap the pieces into place together. It does have an opening at the top, so if you bend over far enough your milk pours out of the top, but I haven’t had an issue with spilling. I use the opening on top to pour the milk into my bags. The pump is a little loud, and louder the higher the suction goes. You do have to hang the motor part around your neck, but lanyard is included. Its not the most discreet pump, but compared to the others I’ve tried, its the best so far. What makes this one top ranked for me is the suction power and the fact that i can move with it without spilling my milk all over my clothes. For comparison: I bought the medela pump in style, it does a decent job, not too many parts, but you are tethered to a wall. I had the elvie portable pumps, those are ok, quiet, but they spill and leak if you bend just a little too much or walk a litle too hard, and they have a lot of parts to clean. Tried the momcozy, they are pretty loud compared to the elvie, and the suction power isnt as strong as the medela, and they too have too many parts to clean.

Babyz Corner Customer –

The quality of bottles is not as expected from Medela (the plastic is lighter in comparison to the one bought with breast pump, rest, the package is doing its job well.

Pros:
• ✅ Lasted 19 months with heavy daily use
• ✅ Strong suction for effective pumping
• ✅ Easy to operate and clean
• ✅ Portable size for on-the-go use
• ✅ Reliable even after long-term use
Cons:
• ❌ Battery may lose capacity after long, heavy use
• ❌ Slightly louder than some pumps
Summary:
This pump has been an essential part of my breastfeeding journey.

Thinner bottles than usual… could be new design???

I could take advantage of the price, and it worth it! Everything is fine. The cooler bag feels of good quality and also the bottles. Perfect for when you need to extract in your car/office… ( any place out of home) and you know you won’t be at home in the next hours. Can’t wait to try them.
The size is good and also the seal. It seems they are easy to clean also.

Pros:
• ✅ Lasted 19 months with heavy daily use
• ✅ Strong suction for effective pumping
• ✅ Easy to operate and clean
• ✅ Portable size for on-the-go use
• ✅ Reliable even after long-term use
Cons:
• ❌ Battery may lose capacity after long, heavy use
• ❌ Slightly louder than some pumps
Summary:
This pump has been an essential part of my breastfeeding journey. It’s strong, dependable, and easy to use, and it held up far longer than I expected given how much I used it. Based on my personal experience, it’s efficient and convenient, and I feel confident recommending it to any mom looking for a reliable everyday pump.

Pros:
• ✅ Lasted 19 months with heavy daily use
• ✅ Strong suction for effective pumping
• ✅ Easy to operate and clean
• ✅ Portable size for on-the-go use
• ✅ Reliable even after long-term use
Cons:
• ❌ Battery may lose capacity after long, heavy use
• ❌ Slightly louder than some pumps
Summary:
This pump has been an essential part of my breastfeeding journey. It’s strong, dependable, and easy to use, and it held up far longer than I expected given how much I used it. Based on my personal experience, it’s efficient and convenient, and I feel confident recommending it to any mom looking for a reliable everyday pump.

Amazing. I exclusively pumped and loved all Madela items – pumps, bottles, flanges, everything. This cooler was so great to bring out and to help with storage during the day while pumping at work. Stayed cold, ease to wipe down, bottles fit great.

Ok first of all let me start by saying I love this pump! Yes should have not listened to my husband and bought it a long time ago – I got the In-Style Medela via insurance as it was the only one that had the least copay.- let me do a comparison:
1) Free Style offers freedom to move!
Even in the middle of the night I know exactly what up press and where I am in the pump
Cycle.
4) love that half way though the Free Style gives you a small celebratory beep at 15 min, lifts my spirits that I’m half way done (it stops at 30 min)
5) the suction is amazing with the Free Style, I was able to get an extra 20% compared to the In Style.
6) the I’m Style had a short tube that has a triangular shape fitting into the pump…does not split if you live around given it’s stable as opposed to the long and unstable tubes for the in Style that kept on getting stuck everywhere (on kitchen cabinet handles, corners of tables) and would rather split off and I would lose suction of pull my bottles and I would lose milk
And and a mini break down
7) the Free Style should replace the In Style or have the product manager of I’m Style get inspired by the design and upgrade the In Style – does not make sense to have a pump without a screen or lights or rechargeable batteries contained in the pump

Update:
Finally this case with medela is finished!!!!
Back to the update,
In the beginning of May I called medela about an update for the freestyle.
Unfortunately…
Be aware of charging times. The lady said that me leaving it to charge 3-4 hours could be the result of it dying as the max is 2 hours
They advised me they would expedite me a replacement, and I should get an email with tracking.

Broken after 3 months, no value for the price. Medela customer service unresponsive.
Never going to buy Medela products ever again.
