We barely used the bowl, the spoons were useful. My older child compared the bowl to a pet food bowl. We started calling it the cat food bowl. Anyway, great concept but didn’t really work out for us.

  2. TaylaShea313

Spoons are good, easy to hold and baby like to chew.

Rated low because bowl is not good. Baby managed to hold and turned upside down. Also, the quality of bowl is not great as in 1 use it got yellowish because of the turmeric used in food preparation.

The media could not be loaded.

The spoons are amazing! My son is 5 months and he has been learning to feed himself with a preloaded spoon. The ridges really do allow purées and thicker foods to stick to the surface vs. roll off while he is trying to find his mouth. Great buy for baby to learn!

The bowl is nice and the concept makes sense. It angles inward so baby doesn’t have to struggle find the food and spoon it out. My only complaint is it doesn’t suction and my baby spends more time trying to move and pickup the bowl than he does eating. I end up having to remove the bowl from his try so he can focus.

Still a good bowl and will likely reintroduce later.

Water goes everywhere when rinsing out bowl, can’t put it in the microwave and my baby can launch it off tray. Great idea, maybe she’ll get better with it as she gets older. My baby loves the spoons and is starting to learn to self feed. Overall a decent purchase but it would be a better product if I could heat the food in the bowl

There is no advertising that this suctions, the selling point is for the rubber gripper around the bottom to keep it from moving. The gripper is not a selling point at all if your little one is like mine. He will pick it up, tip it, and push/pull to move it. It has ended up upside down on the highchair tray as well as the floor so no what you want if you don’t want your little one really exploring food time in all messy ways. The bowl reminded me of a dog bowl but it is a fantastic concept for the design. At the early stages thicker and smaller portions are great to practice with, thicker food though will stick to the sides so the design concept is not as effective there but for smoother, liquid, or thinner food it is dead on. My little guy has been using the spoon to move, mash, stir the food. It is kid friendly size to avoid long handle teething that gags them, and to help them control. We end up with lots of messes but he is learning quickly, today I got bites and he managed to get 2 into his own mouth. I would love a bowl that was non-movable and non-flippable but overall I love it.

  12. Sal Herrera

I wish i would have bought this when we started BLW!! The spoon is so easy for baby to hold, suction is strong and bowl and utensils are easy to clean. I 10/10 recommend for any parent looking to start the solids journey.

The spoons doesn’t hold much food. mostly good for yogurt. Not impressed with the spoons. The bowl great concept. at time doesn’t suction cup. Recommend hand washing.

My 18 month old was having issues feeding herself. Gave her this bowl, used it for 1 month and was finally able to get the hang of feeding herself and switch to a normal bowl.

We actually bought this set for our 20 month old who has some texture difficulties that have impeded his ability to chew and swallow foods effectively. These textured feeding spoons have been so great for him! The material and texture of them allows for the less solid foods (mashed/pureed) to stick on to the spoon, instead of slipped right off (like traditional spoons), which makes it a lot easier for babies to get at least some of the food into their mouth until they master their ability to spoon feed themselves. For our son, the texture has also helped a ton during his therapy sessions. The little nubs and bumps of the spoons allow just enough texture to slowly but surely get his tongue and the inside of his cheeks used to different textures, without being a choking hazard (as many foods are for him). In the 2 short months that we’ve had the spoons (and been using them regularly) we’ve seen such tremendous improvements in his tolerance for different consistencies and textures of food! The bowl is the cherry on top – with the base of it being wider than the top and covered in non slip rubber, it’s helped us avoid many spills!

Every kid should have this bowl. My daughter used to flip the other suction bowls and make a huge mess. She has not flipped this one once. It is awkward to pick up for kids. I LOVE the pointed center design. My daughter can eat applesauce & yogurt all by herself from this bowl. She is a year old.

My only complaint is that we put already-made Kraft mac in the bowl and it stained it 🙁 We only had the bowl for a week. It has been almost 2 months now so the stain is starting to fade, but do NOT put mac n cheese in the bowl. We did pasta and tomato sauce and that did not stain it at all. So I understand.

I bought this to help my daughter learn how to use a spoon. It’s been extremely helpful. The angle of the bowl makes it very easy for her to dip the spoon into the food and then pull it out and bring it to her mouth. The conical shape of the bowl makes it easy to put a small amount of food in the bowl and still have a deep enough amount of food for her to effectively scoop some out. The bowl is very stable and doesn’t move at all when she’s using a spoon. Of course, she can pick it up and throw it on the ground if she wants to, as others have complained, but all babies are scientists and learning about gravity and consequences are important for their development, even when it’s a bit of an inconvenience for their parents. Highly recommend this bowl!

  26. Ss

Bought this for my 4.5 month old who is starting to eat purée foods. She loves to hold the spoon and suck/chew on it (whenever she can get it in her mouth). Very easy to use. Spoons work great with puréed foods! Great purchase!

Un bol muy cómodo para los pequeños que empiezan a comer, su forma permite que les sea fácil coger la comida y la goma abajo permite que no se deslice tanto.

My 5 month old is little miss independent and wants to do everything herself, this product allows her to self feed without a massive mess! It also helps mommy since I’m visually impaired and my depth perception is not 100%, especially with a wiggly baby, trying to hit the target is a struggle for both her and I! I’m extremely grateful for the peace of mind it gives me watching her self feed with ease. (She lets mommy help sometimes!)

  45. Stefanie

We used it for our daughter first time trying solid food, and it went phenomenal. She was able to hold her spoon and taking it to her mouth, easy to handle
By her. We are doing a mix between BLW and purées

  46. Carey-Anne

We’re a little confused by the design in general. It doesn’t hold much food, and seems to work best with a thick puree. Getting a bite of anything more irregular or chunky is difficult even for a more advanced spoon user (me included). The biggest problem is that a spoon will not rest inside the bowl- it tips over the side. A suction bottom would be a huge improvement to this bowl- it’s not difficult for my little guy to pick this up and toss it, and it’s solid enough to leave a nice dent in your floor. All of this combined seems to lead to more mess, and my son getting frustrated and reverting to using his hands.

It could be that the bowl is better suited to a much younger baby who is just being introduced to solids, only needs a few bites, and doesn’t have the strength, dexterity, and naughty inclination to chuck the bowl off the table.

the bowl can slip and if your baby can pick it up it can definitely tip. however my daughter likes trying to get food out of it with her utensils.
it doesn’t hold a ton of food, which i think is a good thing so she can’t dump or fling a ton out. its a better option then the glass bowls i normally use for myself, but not sure its any better than simpler plastic bowl.

This bowl has been outstanding! We use it with the dipping spoons for our 9 month old to practice feeding herself. She has been unable to flip it off her highchair and the food all slides and settles in the bottom for easy dipping. Truly a smart design! If it was cheaper we’d use these bowls exclusively. Wish the price point was a little lower.

It’s alright. I don’t think I will buy it again. Granddaughter can pick it right up and toss it off her tray. Think I will stick with the suction bowls next time. I do like the depth of the bowl design. Kids think it looks like a dog dish. Does have similarities. Lol

Just got this bowl very early this morning. I am using it right now with my 15 month old daughter. I love the wider base. She is right now eating her fruit without wearing it…well okay, she is wearing some of it, because she dumped a whole bowl a fruit on herself while I was washing this Numnum bowl so we could use it.

We love this bowl. Our little one just started self-feeding. He was having trouble getting “stuff” on his spoon. The conical shape of the interior of this bowl is perfect for creating a well of food that he can dip his spoon into. We also love these spoons and encourage you to select the bowl and spoon option.
