  • Slim and portable, perfect for on-the-go learning!

AMAZING – Making a picture from numbers is as easy as 1-2-3. This Connect the Dots early math workbook for kids from the Get Ready! series will help your child learn to count from 1 to 10. Plus, the dot puzzles improve fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and problem-solving skills. Connect the dots, then color the picture. Bold shapes and joyful scenes and characters make learning fun. With a pencil and crayons, and perhaps just a bit of coaching from you, your preschool or kindergarten child will work and learn for many happy hours. The slim 32-page size is handy for packing into totes, backpacks and luggage. With a little help from you, your child will enjoy hours of learning fun.

WORKBOOKS FOR KIDS – Writing by hand, as opposed to typing on a computer, fires up specific areas of a child’s brain, improving a child’s ability to not only remember what he or she learns but to think of new ideas. Completing physical pages also give a sense of accomplishment that’s hard to get from a digital product. This is a workbook kids are sure to enjoy! When the workbook is finished, you can fill out the included completion certificate to reward a job well done. Hang it on the wall or fridge to display their achievement with pride.

PREPARATION – Let us help you prepare your young children for the next grade level with our workbooks, flashcards, card games, early reading books, and online learning program – Anywhere Teacher. Keep kids “classroom ready” with these great supplemental learning tools and more!

AWARD WINNING – School Zone content has won The Parents’ Choice Foundation Award, Tillywig Toy Awards, Brainchild Award, Family Choice Award, Mom’s Choice Awards Honoring Excellence, Gold Star Toy Scholastic Parent and Child Award and many more.

OUR STORY – More than 40 years ago, long-time educators James Hoffman, Ed.D., and his wife Joan Hoffman, M.A., began a retail supply outlet for teachers, then soon identified a need for at-home learning materials to help parents support and supplement their children’s classroom instruction. School Zone Publishing fast emerged as the market leader in workbooks and flashcards for preschoolers through sixth graders.

School Zone remains family-owned, focused on excellence, responsive to customers, alert to emerging technology, and committed to the community. We continually update our products with new features and content, reflective of changing standards, evolving teaching methods, and overall best practices.

Really great activity book! My 3-year-old loved it and it kept him engaged for a good while. It was a perfect fit since he already knows his numbers, so he could do it mostly on his own. It also helped reinforce number recognition, which is great for keeping those skills fresh.

I bought this dot to dot as a fun activity book as my 4yr old was losing interest in the “get ready for kindergarten” type workbooks. It did not disappoint. My child got excited about “drawing” a picture by connecting the dots, and navigated through quite easily. By doing so, she was practicing her numbers, letters, pencil control, and sight recognition. She also enjoyed coloring in the completed picture. I will be purchasing more books from School Zone in the future.

I purchased this book to help my son with better number familiarity. He was able to count to 20 but had more difficulty in recognizing the numbers. This has really helped. The first few pages we kinda did for him but now he is doing them on his own (just turned 3) so this book has served it’s purpose. Our son loves doing these and colouring the pictures as well. I highly recommend making a few photos copies of the pages before starting so that there are more chances to do the pages as the book isn’t that thick.

This is a cute little workbook and my toddler enjoys the activities. The pages are colorful, simple, and age appropriate, so it keeps their attention well. It’s a nice quick activity to do together and good for practicing basic skills.

My only downside is that it’s very short. The workbook is only 32 pages, so my toddler will probably finish it pretty quickly. For the price (under $4) it’s not terrible, but it does feel more like the kind of thin workbook you’d expect to find at a dollar store. Overall it’s still a fun little activity, I just wish it had more pages to make it last longer. 📚✨

I bought more than 20 pre-k books by now( my son loves them), and this one is definitely a good buy.
    PROS:
    1. 34 pages- a lot of room for practice.
    2. It is gradually getting harder- first we trace 1-5, later 1-8, then 1-10.
    3. Price- it is quite cheap, so even if your kid doesn’t like it- you don’t lose too much.
The only CON that I see -is that there are tracing exercises only, so it can get boring pretty quick. I gave my son a few pages every day, so he was pretty excited about it. Definitely a good way to start writing practice and train a little hand to draw straight lines.

It’s a great book for your child. Definitely recommend it if your little one has mastered having a pencil in their hand and knows how to write lines.

I remember doing dot-to-dots as a child and now I can share that with my granddaughter. She is 3 so a little hard for her but we enjoy doing it together. She’s just starting pre-school.

We do one a page with my 4 year old as part of pre-k stuff I do with her at home. Starts slowly but after a few pages go from 1 to 10. Great for kiddos who know their numbers. And its black and white so kids can color it after.
