I have super dry and super sensitive skin, I can’t use hand sanitizer or most lotions because they hurt my skin especially during cold months, but I have not had any issues with this moisturizer.
I have still gotten mild stretch marks on the underside of my stomach (below my belly button), they aren’t very long or dark, I am at 36 weeks and have gained about 25 pounds so far.
I honestly didn’t really start showing much until I was about 28 weeks along (it just looked like I had eaten a somewhat big meal before then 😅), so basically all of my bump has been in the last month in a half or two months which probably is part of why I still got stretch marks when using this.
My first container smelled like tanning oil (coconut to me) and the second smells more like mango or pineapple, but isn’t overly smelly. Since it’s made out of natural oils the scent slightly changing isn’t surprising or an issue in any way, it just interested me when I opened the second container.
I’ve been using this at least twice a day for the last few weeks on my stomach, sides of my hips and some days a little on my lower back (not as often, mainly when it feels dry). Before that I used it once a day after showers because, like I said, I didn’t really have a bump.
This is my first pregnancy so I can’t say if I would have had more stretch marks if I hadn’t used it, but considering how small and light mine are, I would say it’s definitely helped.
I didn’t expect to have no stretch marks at all from using this (even though many other reviewers said they didn’t) just because of how dry my skin constantly is, so I’m happy with how well it has worked for me.
UPDATE: I am now at 41 weeks have have stretch marks all the way up to my belly button (they’re probably about 6-8 inches long), they still aren’t very dark, but my skin sometimes feels dry and slightly itchy. I have one part of my skin that looks like when you bruise and almost break the skin, it doesn’t hurt or bleed, but definitely didn’t expect that with how great people said this lotion was.
Previously I wasn’t dissatisfied with the results since I know I have really problematic skin, but now I’m a bit disappointed with the final results.
★ UPDATING AGAIN ★
It has been a couple years and I used shower oil and body butter lotions during pregnancy since then, and have had better results with those products (no itchiness, and only one new mark).
I have also learned my skin is more likely to get stretch marks than the average person, so I added one star back on because the results probably aren’t entirely the lotion’s fault… 😅

I want to give 5 stars but the new formula drops it to 4 stars. I’ve used this product for both pregnancies, in 2020 and again this year currently at six months along. I’ve LOVED using this product and didn’t have any issues until recently. I subscribed to receive two creams every two months. I noticed a change in the formula of my last shipment from February 2024, which I just started using this month. The appearance, color, texture, and especially the SMELL are different. The sweet apricot aroma has been replaced with an attempt at a lavender scent but failed horribly! It smells like nasty plastic or rubber, which is enough to make me consider switching products. I’ve reached out to Trilastin customer support through their chatbot and email but have not received a response for over a week now. I’ve BEGGED them to return to the original formula.
Aside from the nasty new smell, this product has been generally positive for me. I had no stretch marks during my first pregnancy and none so far in my current one. While I can’t say definitively that it’s due to the product, I’ve read that stretch marks can be hereditary. If your mother had them, you’re more likely to have them. Unfortunately, my mother passed away when I was young, so I don’t know if she had stretch marks and I don’t have any sisters to gather additional information. I’ve recommended the product to two friends who still developed stretch marks during their pregnancies. One friend was pregnant for the first time, and the other was on her second pregnancy. You’ll find hundreds of reviews with varied results here. While I can’t claim that this cream is THE miracle solution, in my experience, it has effectively prevented stretch marks in my case. With that, I am considering a new cream because I just cant bare the new smell.

I started using this product around 15 weeks pregnant. I did not expect it to prevent stretch marks, as stretch marks have more to do with how quickly your body changes and genetics. I don’t like that this product advertises that it can prevent stretch marks, its simply false advertising. Now for the pros:
Lovely scent
Rubs in well
Good ingredients
Cons:
I also purchased the oil and accelerater ( i LOVE the oil). If you use any additional product apart from the lotion, or the area gets wets or you sweat a bit, the lotion actually pills up and flakes off. Its gross and shows how ineffective the product likely is.
The tub contains a miniscule amount of product for the price and definitely not worth it. It lasted about a month. I used it as directed with the accelerater, daily and it hasn’t made any difference in my skin.
I will not be repurchasing or recommending this product to anyone. The oil is a much better investment for me as it really moisturizes and I feel it did help lighten the appearance of some of my early stretch marks.

In my second pregnancy with no stretch marks!
CP –
Pros:
– Smells great, though a bit strong when my sense of smell was through the roof. Not unbearable though.
– Not sticky or greasy.
– I think it moisturized well? Not sure because I never felt itchy on my belly, but I also don’t usually have dry skin on my belly.
Cons:
– Expensive for the amount you get (would have been worth it for me if it actually worked).
– Worked until it didn’t, even though I used it every day, some days twice a day.
So I’m 36 weeks, 5 days pregnant and I had no stretch marks until today. That’s what I mean by “it worked until it didn’t”. I started applying it every day before bed plus after every shower once I started really showing. I’ve ordered 6 total throughout the pregnancy and felt the price was worth it until I noticed the marks today.
It’s hard to say whether it would have been worse if I hadn’t used this product at all, or if it didn’t work at all and I always would have gotten stretch marks once baby dropped down. I really don’t know.
If you have the money to spend then I’d say try it, but I can’t say with any confidence that it works, unfortunately.

I really loved this product. The texture is smooth, it absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin well hydrated without a greasy feeling. This cream was great for me during my pregnancy. I put it on daily, in the morning and evening, and did not get any stretch marks throughout the 39 weeks I was pregnant. It absorbs into the skin quickly and has a light pleasant smell. It didn’t leave any residue on my clothing like some of the belly butters do.It would be great if this came in a larger size as the 118ml tub would only last me a month or so and I had to keep purchasing.

The Trilastin cream is gentle, fragrance-free, and absorbs quickly. I love that it is hypoallergenic and paraben-free, so it’s safe to use during pregnancy. After several weeks, the skin feels hydrated and more elastic. It really helps prevent stretch marks and leaves the skin very soft. Highly recommended.

I’m pregnant with my third baby now and I used this with both of my previous pregnancies (white jars), and of course i had to buy some more. Because i swear by this stuff! It definitely prevents stretch marks and leaves your skin feeling so hydrated and smooth. My mom even sneaks some to use on her face and hands (a little really does go a long way). But, it doesn’t smell as good as it used to. It used to smell like oranges and now that orange scent is gone. Please bring it back!

Ok, so I’m 9 months pregnant now and have waited my ENTIRE pregnancy to write this review. I am prone to stretch marks, have them all over on my butt and thighs from growing and a few faint ones on my hips, again from growing. My skin marks up easily and I scar really easy too. So when I first found out I was pregnant I immediately started researching creams to try and avoid stretch marks at all costs. All the research I did said that there was no proof they work so I almost didn’t go down this road, thinking I was a lost cause but I’m SO glad I did! I started using the cream every single day since like 6 weeks gestation even though I obviously wasn’t showing yet. Now, I’m 9 months pregnant and a couple weeks away from my due date and have ZERO stretch marks. I’m attributing this to trilastin. That’s the only explanation in my opinion. It smells great, moisturizes super well and smells amazing! As soon as I got pregnant everything smelled rotten or like roadkill, but this smelled great from start to finish. I’ve recommended this to 4 other ladies who found out they were expecting after me. Absolutely love this product and highly recommend to everyone. Consistency is key! And start as early as possible. Love love love this product

I wish I had read the full ingredient list before spending so much money. The website and packaging touts this cream as having natural ingredients and the box even states it is unscented but on the other side the ingredient list contradicts both these claims. Parfum(fragrance) is one of the questionable ingredients along with a ton of other synthetic ingredients. I know some preservatives are necessary to keep the cream from getting moldy and full of bacteria but are all of these ingredients really safe and necessary? What purpose does yellow#5 serve? And at least one of the ingredients I looked up is a possible carcinogen (Diethanolamine). A few others were questionable in terms of being a skin irritant. Also I read that one of the preservatives should not be ingested by infants and children so if you’re using this on your breasts while breastfeeding you might want to think about that. I feel like this company is dishonest in their marketing this as a natural cream and I would definitely not buy it again. Wish I’d just stuck to my Shea butter even though it isn’t as pleasant to apply at least there’s only one ingredient. I was doubtful about getting a stretchmark cream in the first place because I’ve read that they don’t really work as stretchmarks have more to do with genetics and diet. I think that eating a healthy diet and staying hydrated helps more to prevent them than any cream can. But the amount of positive reviews I read about this product made me think it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. Now after researching the ingredients list I’m wondering if it could. I’m 20 weeks pregnant with my first and no stretch marks so far without using anything. But I also haven’t gotten that big yet. I really don’t care that much about getting stretch marks and I know they’ll fade in time just like the ones I got on my hips and breasts from puberty. I never felt subconscious about those. But I figured if I could avoid getting them why not? I really don’t think women should be so subconscious about them though. I feel ashamed that I spent so much money on an unnecessary product with questionable ingredients.

Highly recommend this cream! I’m not sure if it helps with stretch marks as I already started to get them (hence why I purchase this in the first place) but the texture of this cream is the best part! It feels so light and fluffy and easily melted into my skin. My belly feels so moisturized and insanely soft and doesn’t feel greasy or heavy yet it also lasts all day. As someone who been dealing with sensitivity to smell to the point where everything gets me nauseous, this cream surprisingly doesn’t irritates me and has a nice hint of freshness and spa-like smell. For the first time I’m actually enjoy using a belly cream and will continue to repurchase this postpartum!

I’ve been using this stretch mark prevention cream every day, and I really love it. The texture is rich but absorbs quickly, leaving my skin super soft and hydrated. It helps keep the skin elastic and has noticeably reduced the appearance of new stretch marks. The scent is gentle and not overwhelming, which I really appreciate. Perfect for pregnancy or anyone wanting smoother, more nourished skin. I highly recommend it!

I put this on religiously every day since 10 weeks pregnant and I didn’t get any stretch marks where I would apply.
I got some on my thighs so I recommend putting some there.
I didn’t get any on my boobs until they filled with milk after giving birth, but I didn’t want to put the cream on while I was breast feeding.
But I have zero stretch marks on my stomach, which I care most about.
Smells and feels nice too. Pricey but it does what you need it to do.

Overall I have been highly satisfied with the product!
For reference, I started at 140lbs and I am currently 172lbs/ 38 weeks.
I have purchased 4 of these containers (which every one was a different price- the price is always changing) and have applied every day since about 8 weeks.
Personally, I apply it on my stomach & breasts. I LOVE the subtle scent- There’s definitely a scent to the cream. But, it’s not too strong.
I didn’t start getting any stretch marks until 35 weeks. Which every day they get more noticeable as the baby grows (for reference- he is in the 95% gestational age/ growth- measuring 7lbs at 35 weeks). I have started applying more often each day. It definitely didn’t PREVENT any stretch marks, but I think it helped keep them less prominent. I plan to keep using the product even after birth. I will update this post to show any fading it does after my baby is born. Overall, I do like the product. Not a fan of the cost for the small container though.

I’m a stretch mark prone person. Got them with puberty & big growth spurts. I gained 30-35 lbs. Not one stretch mark with this stuff and bio oil! I purchased 3 & started at the beginning of pregnancy. This is me at 40 weeks pregnant! I applied this every night. It smelled so good and a little went a long way. It was absorbent and soothing. I felt like it is pricey but worth it because stretch marks were what I was scared about the most with pregnancy!

Still to early to tell if it does a good job preventing stretch marks, but so far the texture and consistency has been nice. Not greasy and absorbs well. This also has a nice, subtle scent.

This lotion was 100% worth the price. I applied it after every shower (and used a cheap hylauronic acid lotion before bed) and I got zero stretch marks from a 9lb baby. My belly went back down quickly after the delivery and my skin isn’t wrinkly or loose at all! And I am 35 years old. It made my skin so soft and absorbed quickly. It has a nice orange creamsicle kind of smell that does not last long. I would even apply it to my elbows. At first I was hesitant to order because of the price, but when you think about what a tummy tuck will cost to remove the stretch marks it’s a no-brainer! It has every kind of oil you could want in it among other great ingredients and is a quality product.

Love this product, I used it my entire 2nd and 3rd trimester and it helped alot with the itchy skin, I only ended up with 1 stretch mark

If you have the money to spend then I’d say try it, but I can’t say with any confidence that it works, unfortunately.

the product is quite pricy, but feels quite good in combination with the Lotion from Trilastin. it was ok but still too pricy for the results

I used this my whole pregnancy and did not get any stretch marks. I briefly switched to another cream and broke out in a crazy rash. However, the rash cleared when I switched back to this one. Will use again for future pregnancies.

I am only 18 weeks and have been using this lotion everyday. I don’t know yet if it will effectively prevent stretch marks, but it is a wonderfully moisturizing lotion and I love the way it smells. I would buy it again just to use as lotion.

I really loved this lotion!! It felt great going on and smells AMAZING. in my opinion its a little too expensive though and I chose to order something cheaper once I ran out!

If you are pregnant and really sensitive to smells, don’t purchase this lotion. It smells like orange, but too strong for my stomach. It is moisturizing though, makes the skin feel really good.

It feels nice and it’s not greasy, smells fine, but I don’t think it’s worth the cost compared to other products for belly’s that are about $15. Ive used this along with 2 others now and I have this one a second shot just to see, but ultimately the $15 wins for me! This one unfortunately is just not worth the price.

I have no stretch marks at all! Started using daily during second trimester.

Simply put, I love this stuff. When I was pregnant, I tried a lot of different creams and serums to prevent stretch marks. This is by far my favorite. It feels so nice and smooth on the skin and is easy to apply to the skin. I would say the price point is fair too. You get a lot of cream for the price, especially compared to other serums and creams. Bonus, it smells incredible. Highly recommend.

I gave birth in March and used this cream from ~12 weeks pregnant until ~2 months postpartum. I had a few stretch marks near my hips (where I definitely missed putting lotion) but everywhere else was stretch mark free! I continued to use it after birth to lessen the hip area stretch marks and they have significantly decreased!
The formula is not oily and smells great!
Don’t worry, this is the same stuff from years ago, the company recently added a new label/new marketing.

I don’t know how I feel about this product. It doesn’t smell like $90.00, it smells very cheap and fragrant. The packaging isn’t convincing either. I’ll definitely be looking at luxury brands and still incorporating this just in case but I won’t be solely relying on it.

It arrived late, but I guess it’s worth it.
