When my daughter said she wanted a wagon for my grandson, being 55 years old and my daughter now 35, I assumed she meant a little kids wagon. I was then introduced to the word of stroller type wagons lol.
After doing my homework pretty thoroughly both on the internet and in person, I decided on the Baby Trend Expedition Stroller Wagon in the Liberty Midnight color. I am absolutely pleased with the purchase I made for my for my grandson. The quality is much better than some of the models I went to see in person at a few baby shops and for a better price! It was very easy to assemble out of the box and has straight forward instructions.
The tubing that makes up the frame is very thick and sturdy. If you look at the photos of the wheels you can see the size when compared to my hand, which is more like a paw so they are quite big lol. This had a lot to do with my selection as my Daughter and Son-in-law are active ppl and like to go on hikes and picnics as well as to the beach an this wagon stroller will have no problem on pretty much any terrain.
As far as dimensions go the overall length is about 41″ tall and 46″ long by about 20.5″ wide. The dimension of the baby/cargo are are 33″ long by 17.5″ wide by about 13″ deep. It can comfortably hold one child along with their toys etc. or 2 children with still plenty of room. I am honestly so happy I went with this model/brand. When you start to look you will most likely be overwhelmed by all the choices but honestly if you want a wagon you can feel good about the safety of your child/grandchild and having something that’s durable and capable to handle most terrain you will encounter, I highly recommend this!! I would absolutely buy this again!

ETA: I’ve had this stroller for a year (to the day that I’m updating it!) and it’s still the best purchase I made. I love this stroller. I’ve used this for taking my dogs on walks especially on hot days when they get tired easily. It’s perfect for taking them to dog friendly restaurants and sitting outside or inside dog friendly stores instead of using a cart. We got a puppy during this last year, and it came in handy when I had to take him to work. So much room for him to play and sleep! It fits all 3 of my 15lb boys comfortably. Just need to add a cooling mat and fan so when it’s hot they can relax!
Original review: I bought this stroller ONLY for my dogs. I had another stroller for them, but it was small and when I saw one of these Baby Trend’s at a baseball game holding actual children, I immediately found it at Target and have been watching it for over a year. After drooling over it for so long my boyfriend finally just said, BUY IT. Big purchases like this always make me second guess myself but with his go ahead, I bought it and I AM SO GLAD I DID.
It fits both of my 15lb dogs in it perfectly with plenty of room. I wrap their leash around the side and if one wants to walk while the other rides then they can walk next to it while I push and it’s so nice. I love the basket and top compartment. I love that it came with a mat so a kid could lay down, I just put that down, so they don’t have the seat belt straps to get tangled on.
It’s worth every single penny. If you are on the fence but really want a stroller for your dog, DON’T GET ANOTHER. GET THIS ONE.
Oh PS. this thing is a beast and on the heavy side so if you are worried about having to load it in your car just make sure you have some help. It’s doable on your own but so much easier with someone else. Folds nicely and fits great in our Hyundai Tuscon.

We’ve really been enjoying this wagon stroller! It’s super easy to use and perfect for outings with multiple kids. There’s plenty of space for everyone to ride comfortably, and the layout makes it easy to keep things organized. And, I appreciate it being longer in the front vs. a double wide stroller! Also, provides more room for the kids to move around a bit.
One of my favorite features is the baby carrier option—such a great addition for flexibility and worth purchasing this model. It handles smoothly overall, though it’s not the best on rocky terrain. Still, for parks, sidewalks, and everyday use, it’s been a game-changer. Highly recommend for families on the go! Good value and quality at a better price point!

First off, this cart is VERY simple to put together. Assembly required no tools and the instructions were nice and clear.
The product itself is built well, and the wheels are good for terrain like grass and dirt roads. If you live in a rural area or somewhere that the roads are rough or not paved, this is the stroller for you. Plus, the latches on the stroller seat belts are very sturdy and do not come open easy. I have a special needs child that escapes from things like this constantly, yet he stays put in this one. Maybe its the cup holders that can clip into either side of the cart and shaded canopy that keeps him shielded from the worst of the sun (which he cannot stand to have in his eyes) or simply the size of it, as it is big enough to fit him and his cousin if needed. It folds down nice and compact when you need to put it away, and it has cup holders for his parents and for him too. The padding that comes packed in are sufficient, they are thick and comfy for my son. He really likes to settle in and make himself at home in there, especially if he is looking for a safe space to unwind in,

As a mom, I love this wagon. It has plenty room for all belongings. It’s a very smooth ride and perfect for strolls around the campground, festivals, etc. The seat cushions fold down so my little one can take naps in it as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that it is a bit bulky for storage and takes up a lot of trunk space in an SUV. Overall we are satisfied with this purchase as we use it more for camping and festivals.

My very first aunty wagon! I purchased the all black one and I love it so much. Cushion seats for the kids and good size snack tray with cup holder. The mosquito net is very well hidden. Loads of storage compartment and the wheels are sturdy and not flimsy like others I’ve seen. Nice a sleek design. Very easy to set up and set down. The storage compartment for the ”adults” is very well created and organized. Only con is it does take up ur trunk space if u drive a sedan. Great buy for our little one who loves eating everything off the ground. We use it as a mobile play yard often as we can walk to neighbors and keep her contained for a good period of time. I only wish there was room to band the knees at 90 degrees. Folds up fairly easy but takes up a good deal of space. So far the quality is good and it should last us a while.

It’s small enough that it fits in my 4-door coupe yet large enough for my daughter to sit/roam comfortably and able to store a diaper bag and cooler. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Even if you have 1 baby like me, it’s the perfect amount of room. I wish I purchased this sooner! Can be used as a bassinet stroller, regular toddler stroller or a wagon. For me it’s the perfect amount for him to sit and have a bunch of toys in front of him to play with. Comes with plenty of storage. A bin that detaches making it easier to just bring the toys in the house. Parents love the cup holder as it has a little pocket to protect things such and phone and keys from the heat & also two water bottle holders towards the front.
It does only fold downwards to I have come to trouble of how it can fit in my car or it not fitting in other cars.
I love that it has two sun covers so which ever way the sun is shinning my son is protected, but can still see where we are walking.

Seems very sturdy and very convenient. It’s easy to fold with the use of two levers. It’s a bit big and I do wish it folded a little smaller, but if you have a good size car, it’s perfectly okay. Maneuvers very easily. The main down side is I wish the pocket was a little deeper and the seatbelt was more comfortable. Overall would highly recommend.

10/10 I feel it moves very smoothly. I almost got the all terrain wagon but I didn’t due to the price point. I might feel differently about the maneuverability then. EDIT: 8/10 on the maneuverability. Despite not getting the all terrain version, this wagon handled a day the park surprisingly well! We rode through grass and over gravel. It was a bit bumpy but my babies slept through it just fine.
Foldability:
Surprisingly compact. Easily fits my 2015 Toyota Camry’s trunk with plenty of space for other cargo.

I live on a dirt road in the country and this wagon handled my gravel drive, dirt road and a walk through the pasture with no problem. So thrilled to not have to fight with the stroller and just pop my grandson in this and off we go. His father calls it a Ferrari compared to the pricy stroller they bought. Debated for a long while about purchasing one of these. I knew I wanted to go with Baby Trend (after much research and testing other brands) and I was super ecstatic when I saw the Expedition Plus on sale for $199. The Expedition Plus includes extra padding for seats or to use as a sleeping mat, a basket and side air vents on canopy.
Setting the wagon up was super easy and quick, no tools or directions needed. The hardest part was getting it out of the box because it was well-packed.
I’m using this wagon for one child, aged two, and we took a stroll last night for the first time.
Here are my thoughts:
CONS
-I was much more excited about this than he was.
-Extra seat pads are so-so. Great for the bottom if you’re using them as a sleep mat, but seem seatbelt limiting when using as a seat.
-Probably should have had two canopies or extenders on each side to allow for more coverage. Even with one child, coverage from sun or rain will be iffy. I know I can purchase a separate product, but it would be nice for the company to come out with some accessories for sun, rain, winter.
-Seatbelt is three-point. There is definitely enough room for a five-point, so that would have been nice as well as a way to recline seat a couple inches for sleeping kids. Not sure how well this wagon would work for two sleepy kiddos. If you have one of those kids (like mine) who wakes easily when moved and can be exceptionally grumpy, transitioning from a buckled sitting position to lying down could be tricky.
-Mosquito nets..great until you need to zip them back up..then it takes a few minutes, which is fine..I think you could put them on top of canopy.
-Big. Not sure this is really a con, but this might not be the best for tight spaces or busy city sidewalks.
PROS
-Big. My toddler needs his space. He’s a tall kid and strollers weren’t working well. Excited to be able to use this in the grocery, on trips, etc. Did purchase cooler/additional basket separately on sale; plan to purchase a wrap-around fan and possibly a sun shade extension for summer.
-Great for tall people! I’m 5’11 and pushing this is super easy. I don’t kick the brakes.
-Has space for two baskets (one included).
-Glides with ease. Bumps aren’t a threat. Curbs might be..when in stroller mode, but we don’t have curb issues here. Turn radius is pretty great. Haven’t tried brakes yet, but heard they’re not flip-flop friendly.
-Caddy is fine. I’ve never owned one before, but this one seems spacious and sturdy. I suppose others might be better insulated.
-I live in a house with several steps in front and had to tote (sans child) wagon up the steps into the house (can’t leave outside because of cats and spiders-trust me on this). I used the wagon handle and it was effortless.
That’s all I’ve got so far, BUT unless you find the Plus on sale, I’d stick with basic Expedition and purchase the cooler/basket accessory separately. The mats are ‘meh’ and the side vents really don’t offer anything extra. Expedition (and pricier) models include infant seat adapter.
Would I purchase again? Absolutely! Wish they had these when my older two were younger.
**June 16, 2022 Update**
Still love it! Walks are amazing. Both the boy and I are happy. Consider purchasing two fans for this if you’re toting two kids..or even a third fan for yourself! I could see how this wagon could be a problem for those with limited trunk space (if you’re transporting it) as it takes up a lot of space..or if you might have trouble lifting (for various reasons). Still wish they would have designed the canopy a little better, but like I said previously, there are solutions!

Large and in charge. This was the stroller wagon I had determined was going to fit my needs for the price I was willing to pay. I bought this for outdoor recreation and because it already came with an infant carrier adapter.
UPDATE: I took this to travel out of town recently. I got lots of compliments but I have a new con*.
Cons:
– does not fold down the middle, so it takes up a lot of space. Not ideal if you have a smaller car
– cannot use canopy when infant carrier adapter is attached.
– shade canopy really small
– *Front wheels not as easy to remove as I thought. The button is small and difficult to press in while also trying to pull the wheel off.
Pros:
– includes infant car seat adapter, which is pretty easy to snap on. Make sure your car seat has a seat belt path, though.
– easy to maneuver in both stroller and wagon mode. No issues going over bumpy terrain
– double break mechanism is wonderful and easy to use
– so much space for small kids and storeage
– easy to extend and collapse
– light enough to lift in and out of car

Mi bebé de un año ama su carrito, por lo general en la carreola al poco rato de estar ahí pedía que la abraces, mientras que en su wagon se siente con la libertad de jugar o acostarse cuando ella quiere. Yo busqué más la comodidad de mi bebé que la mía, el carrito por la forma en que se cierra si es algo complicado hacer que entre en tu cajuela, si tus asientos se tira el respaldo no tendras problema, lo otro es que si es algo pesado para alzarlo y meter al carro. Es muy cómodo y seguro además de que previene la exposición al sol prolongada, su tamaño es ideal sobre todo si tienes niños que son un poco más grandes o si tienes más de un bebé, los materiales son buenísimos y realmente es muy cómodo. Es la mejor compra que pude haber hecho para mi bebé y me arrepiento un poco de no haberlo comprado antes. Si estás dudando si comprarlo no sigue mi consejo te va a encantar

I wanted a wagon so we could use at our local amusement park but I didn’t want to pull it. I’ve seen lots of different kinds while out and about and kept seeing ones like this and I am so glad this is the one I went with.
It pushes so much easier than a stroller and all of the extra room is amazing!

It is a bit bulky and takes my whole truck space in my crv but it’s not that much bigger than my Chicco stroller I had. And I can store stuff in it while it’s collapsed and still leaves room underneath to put things.

It’s so handy to have. It’s really nice quality and has all the features you could want. It makes it so easy to do things a stroller makes difficult. It’s easier to push/pull than I thought it would be. The fold-up wheels are an awesome feature as I have an SUV but wouldn’t be able to fit it in the back if the wheels were not foldable. It is large. Larger than you might think. It’s excellent for colder weather since the kids can be snuggled up with a blanket and it’s super cozy and protective from the weather with the high sides. I have no a single negative thing to say about it other than it’s pretty heavy, heavier than expected, but I am happy to accept that because it’s awesome.
