My niece watches a good amount of Youtube Kids, and a reoccurring toy I see in many of the live-action videos were these ABC mats. That’s the first reason I decided to buy one of these. The second is because I noticed that at the fresh, young age of two, she already knew a majority of the alphabet. Right when I opened the package to take the letter tiles out, the little lady was already ecstatic to put the alphabet together. I was even surprised to see that she know ALL her letters.
The mat is soft, colorful, and takes a little time to put together, as well as take apart. Even soft enough to protect the reckless little tykes from hurting themselves. I tried to put them together in a more “3D” way once, but the tiles aren’t thick enough for that, which was a little disappointing. Happy to say, she loves this mat and anytime she comes over, we put it together one by one and while listing off each letter. Wherever we set this baby up, it’ll be where she’ll be hanging out for almost the rest of the day. These ABC mats are a must for babies and small children everywhere to keep them simulated and help them learn.

We love this mat. It fits perfectly in our designated play area, and love that it’s the perfect size to fit in a standard play pen also. I do wish the colors were more random like the advertised photo, the colors are columned (pink orange purple/ pink green blue/ and last 2 columns are blue green yellow) but this is not a big deal!
We will probably buy another mat in the future to cover a larger area. I love that there are edge pieces to make a complete finish! I was specifically looking for that feature and this was the only one we found. Very happy with purchase and highly recommend.

Overall this is a great playmat!
Pros:
1) it’s pretty large, my little one can play on it comfortably
2) the colors are nice and bright
3) the price is pretty good – I wasn’t going to spend more than $30 on a play mat!
Cons:
1) Not as soft as I’d like it to be. It might help to put it over carpet but ours is right on top of the hardwood floor and it’s not very soft..
2) A little bit slippery if my little one is wearing socks (I usually let him go barefoot though and then it’s fine)
Neutral:
1) My 7 month old discovered that he can pull the pieces off and started chewing on the edges.. I don’t mind too much and this would happen with any other mat but I thought I’d mention it. (UPDATE: It’s the worst.. your kid will take the entire mat apart a million times a day)
Overall it’s a great mat for the price! If you want something really soft order the Baby Care Reversible Play Mat from Buy Buy Baby — It’s one piece and super soft but it’s also pricey ~$100.

I came to really despise this play-mat. Reasons:
1) As my little one got older he started taking it apart ALL THE TIME! When you’ve put it together for the millionth time in a day it gets old really fast.
2) Dirt gets in everywhere through the cracks and falls beneath the mat and unless you clean under very regularly it’s going to be dirty. I might have high standards of cleanliness especially when it comes to my baby but this was definitely a deal breaker for me.
We decided to buy the Baby Care mat instead and it’s been great! So very soft! We put this play mat outside under our toddler slide on our patio and it’s fine there.

They did have a strong odor when I first took them out of the packaging, but that faded quickly. I waited three days before posting this review to see how much it would fade. It’s now barely noticable, even if I get my nose right next to it. I did also find that this product is not ideal on a shag carpet, since the part separate from each other more easily there. It works much better on a hard floor or thin carpet or rug. I do wish that the colors had been chosen so that I could arrange these in rows of 3, 4, or 5 without running into the issue of having the same colored blocks next to each other. But that’s my one real irritation. My child tried chewing on one of the pieces immediately, of course, but he wasn’t able to bite off a piece, so not a choking hazard. He just left some very small bite marks.

Had this mat since she was 5 months old and now is 10 months old and we play on it everyday! Love the colors and the cushion for her to play on even my dog likes laying on it. Has to be cleaned a good bit but it is in a high foot traffic area of our house and I don’t mind. She is trying to eat the mat now so I do have to watch her very closely but she tries to eat everything. Great mat to have anywhere in your house for your baby or toddler.

The only downside is that, of the 4 packs we got, the corner border pieces were cut from the same color, so keep that in mind if you’re trying to do a rainbow effect like I was.
They fit snugly together, are super easy to wipe clean, and my daughter particularly loves the numbers and letters that have holes so she can punch them out, lol. Can’t recommend this product enough!

These are great floor tiles for those just learning to crawl, walk and how to use their new bodies.
We bought these when our toddler was around 7 months old and found them to be very helpful throughout the years (he’s now around 2 years and 9 months). He has crawled on them, fallen while taking his first steps, played and even used them as the stopping point for sliding off the furniture, on his own choosing.
As he got older, we were able to teach him his ABC’s and how to count from zero to nine. There are times that he would run around the tiles while singing the ABC song and looking at the tiles for the letter that he was on. He would also sometimes see a letter on his Kindle and feel the need to look for the associated tile too. The different colors helped to teach colors too. A nice way to teach them things while keeping them safe during their inevitable falls.
They clean up easily enough when using something as simple as warm water and a cloth, for those spills that happen. For more sticky situations, warm water and soap take care of it easily. Applying duct tape to the back of the tiles can prevent your child from removing all of the various pieces of the foam tile to chew on.
Over time some of the tiles have developed little dents/divots, but we didn’t notice any pieces of the foam tile on the floor. I’m sure it’s just something that happens due to regular traffic over this type of surface.
Definitely a great item to have when their are children around and makes an excellent learning tool too.

Really satisfied with the quality of this playmat for the price. I think it’s a great value. My 7 month old was super amused by all the different colors and sat happily playing with her blocks. She’s just learning to crawl so I’m hopeful this will help her with gripping her hands and toes. Also a great mat for under her pikler gym for when she starts climbing!

These tiles are surprisingly tough. My toddlers like to rip the boarders up and whack stuff with them.
It can be a chore chasing all of the shapes and putting them back, but i just put tape all throughout the bottom to hold them in place. They still get ripped out, but not as often.
I bought a letter set, a number set, and 2 shape sets. I covered the family area/living room and gated off the perimeter. Not do they love it, but it grows on you in terms of interior decoration. It has received a couple compliments from other guests.
These tiles seem to reasonable soften the hardwood floor upon impact. I would still remain vigilant, but it does add to piece of mind. It is very easy on the joints.
It is very easy to clean. Nothing hard to remove. I typically give it a once over maybe twice a week. Be sure to underneath it every now and then.

I love how big it is I was suprise the amount of space it took up but it’s worth the buy. I use warm water and vinegar to clean it.She be pulling it apart and putting it in her mouth because she’s at that stage where everything she puts into her mouth so I have to always be putting them back together but apart from that it’s an awesome mat to have for your baby. It was easy to put together. She’s always on it once she’s not sleeping.
