    this is a cute coat, warm and fits a little on the looser side of true to size for my 16 month old. it would be perfect, but the zipper is trash. it’s a lighter weight zipper than it should be for the coat to begin with, and it’s attached with glue rather than being sewn on. the zipper hasn’t broken or come off the coat yet because we haven’t had it long, and because it isn’t his only cold weather coat. but it will definitely be nonfunctioning before the winter is out, even without everyday use.

    I ordered this toddler coat as a gift for our Giving Tree at church, and was shocked at its appearance upon arrival. It was shrink wrapped in a plain zip-log bag. no labels, tags, or product information anywhere. It was about the thickness of a daily newspaper (and if you receive one of those these days, you know that there is nothing to them). My son said, “Maybe it will puff up when you take it out of the shrink wrap.” Well, it might have puffed up the tiniest bit. I was embarrassed because of the packaging; did not appear to be brand new because of the lack of tags as I mentioned. But I figured well maybe it’ll be okay for a not-so-cold day, just getting in and out of the car. Then I tried the zipper. It gave me a hard time, as did the snaps. The whole experience just left me with such a bad feeling that I felt I could not in good conscience put this under our Giving Tree for a child in need of a coat. I wouldn’t put this coat on my dog, to tell the truth. You’d probably be better off wrapping your child in a newspaper than using this coat. So I brought it to Kohl’s (I LOVE their return-service! So convenient), and while there, picked out a beautiful Jumping Beans toddler coat, which, after my coupons and Kohl’s cash, cost less than this generic one.

Not great for car seats (hard to buckle over) but it’s awesome everywhere else! I don’t love the flap over the top of the zipper and that if you don’t button it then it just hangs off weirdly. That’s the only thing I would change. Without the weird flap it is perfect and it fit my daughter great (she is small for her age so we ordered a size down and it was great) if your child is small for their age, order one size down, otherwise order their age and it will be great.

    I ordered this toddler coat as a gift for our Giving Tree at church, and was shocked at its appearance upon arrival. It was shrink wrapped in a plain zip-log bag. no labels, tags, or product information anywhere. It was about the thickness of a daily newspaper (and if you receive one of those these days, you know that there is nothing to them). My son said, “Maybe it will puff up when you take it out of the shrink wrap.” Well, it might have puffed up the tiniest bit. I was embarrassed because of the packaging; did not appear to be brand new because of the lack of tags as I mentioned. But I figured well maybe it’ll be okay for a not-so-cold day, just getting in and out of the car. Then I tried the zipper. It gave me a hard time, as did the snaps. The whole experience just left me with such a bad feeling that I felt I could not in good conscience put this under our Giving Tree for a child in need of a coat. I wouldn’t put this coat on my dog, to tell the truth. You’d probably be better off wrapping your child in a newspaper than using this coat. So I brought it to Kohl’s (I LOVE their return-service! So convenient), and while there, picked out a beautiful Jumping Beans toddler coat, which, after my coupons and Kohl’s cash, cost less than this generic one.
